I literally just saw that like 20 minutes ago, but it appears to be booked up that weekend

There is a Days Inn (I think) right next door to The Hampton. They are both on the route.

I would also check out The Alder which is around Freret and Napoleon. Look into the Chole and the Columns as well.

I find Napoleon less crowded. So for something like Tucks that is where I go. Obviously if you want to see both Saturday parades you need to be on St. Charles.

Hampton Inn or Best Western by Superior on St. Charles

eta: I have never actually brought children with me. We stayed in this area when I had too many health issues for Canal/St. Charles on the street. I preferred the uptown families to the tourist bleacher stands on St. Charles downtown.

You can buy a spot at Cohen high school.

The perfect lot that is right on the route is the tiered lot at Touro Hospital. That is the safest option IMO, but the areas you are wanting to watch the parade are safe overall

number if the schools and churches sell parking spots as fundraisers. A bonus is you often get a bathroom pass

The school across the street from. Fat Harry's has lots of port o lets that they keep very clean, they charge by the visit or you can buy a day pass, it's well worth it

Park in Harahan (brah) and walk there.

You’ll thank me later.

Church of the Latter Days Saints on St. Charles and Foucher used to have a pay for parking lot that came with a free potty pass pre-Covid. It’s down the block from Superior and the Hampton Inn so that area can get pretty crowded. Parking on the lake side of St. Charles makes it easier to get out of there if you’re going to Metairie.

You can park at Touro tiered lot. Usually $20-$30. I have parked there plenty of times for parades. Just get there early, like by 8am.

Which days are you looking? 1st weekend or 2nd?

Trying to find a hotel on the parade route a month out for MG weekend is going to be futile

For parking you can just park in a neighborhood. If you are looking to pull up somewhere last minute you won’t have many options.

St. Stephens does this. Parking, concession stands, and bathroom bracelets. Super family friendly area.

This is a good question. 1st weekend is much easier for a family.

This is the safest area for parades. Napoleon will have more families. Saint Charles, more college students. I’ve been going to that area for 40 years now. Never had a problem. I’ve never seen a problem

Sophie B Wright high school has an all day pass for bathrooms, and decent food

De la Salle high school charges may be 20 or $30 to park all day. They have attendants on duty
