Where do you stop when the stop sign is a few feet in front of the white line?

At the sign, at the line, or both?

Facing forward it is like this:

Road
White Line

Stop Sign

Your Car

At the line. And anyone's who pulls up to the sign I see if I can get close enough to rub a tire across their bumper.

It gets confusing when the car in front of me at the 4-way is 10 ft in front of the sign and then I'm expected to pull up even though I was already at the stop sign

I just received a red light camera ticket for stopping on the other side of the white line before proceeding to turn right on red.

What does a white line at a stop sign mean?

…. Stop at the line, no?

Drivers not pulling up all the way to white lines at stops or lights is 2nd only to driving slow in the left lane. I routinely see people stopped a full car length or more behind a white line. The thing that sucks about it is that it's just a pure loss of efficiency to the system that you can't get back. Everybody loses.

I would stop at the first and creep the other or more if there is something blocking the view. I would think demarcation paint overrules a stop sign but wouldn't take the chance.

At the line for stop signs.

Got a parking ticket because my truck was over one of the lines curb parking. Truck was 6 inches longer than their GD parking spot.

Damn sheep fricking town still pisses me off.

Cop in drivers Ed course told us to always stop at the stop sign first, then creep up to see around obstacles before driving on.
