Need to look up lemon laws. It’s a certain amount of consecutive days without the same problem being fixed. I believe you are past the days in Louisiana.

Lemon Laws usually only applies to new vehicles. If that's the case he can get the MFR involved. They can send a representative and make a pretty quick decision. They typically don't want to go through the courts and just buy the vehicle back, repair it and run it though an auction as a factory buy back.

If it's a used vehicle it can get more prickly. Dealers hate negative public image.

Get out of that truck. Make them buy it back. That moonroof will never be the same.

I had my work van in Lamarque Cresent for 3 weeks. I came out with new tires "I had to buy" and "we couldn't find the problem". Then I showed them the issue on my Forscan computer and they were like "oh right don't I transmission here" so I went to big Lamarque. I had a lawyer contact them and my car was seen that day.
I didn't leave it there I drove it for 6 weeks until part came in. Then it went into shop for 2 more weeks and was fixed. Only had 35,000 miles and needed a transmission.

In that same period my ac compressor failed. I fixed it for $400 out of pocket.
That's with 1234yf not 134a. So price included new gauges and freon

And I bet they're leaving your truck out in the lot while it's waiting to be serviced; getting rained on and leaking more.

One thing dealerships hate is bad reviews. I don't know if it would speed up the process, but get on google reviews and also review them on their facebook page.

I bought my 2017 truck used; it was certified pre-owned, so they supposedly did a 250 point check of the vehicle.

Two days after brining it home, the battery dies on me. I know they didn't check shite on this truck because when I checked the cabin air filter, it looked like it had never been changed.

I call my salesman, and he checks with the service manager. Service manager says "Its a wear and tear issue, so we will not pay for the battery."

I immediately went on google and facebook and blasted the dealership.

Two days later, the salesman calls me and says "Look, can you take that review down? We'll pay you for whatever you spent on a new battery."

Apparently the general manager saw my review and wasn't too happy about it.

"I'll take the review down as soon as the check clears," I replied.

I got my money and deleted the reviews.

I don’t know this applies to the lemon law but i do know that if a vehicle stays in the service department for a certain number of days within a year, the delete ship has to take it back legally. Now, the sunroof may not apply to this but there might be some actual recourse you have

Many years ago my dad had a new Lincoln Continental that had a sunroof leak they couldn’t get right. He got a new vehicle out of it under the Lemon Law. Didn’t need a lawyer, just worked it out with the deslership.

Made a service appointment with them a few months ago to try to diagnose an issue. Arrived early morning to drop it off before work, planning to catch an Uber to my office. That's when they tell me it'll be a couple of days before they could look at it. No loaner available, didn't say shite on the phone about not being able to look at it same day and that I'd need to arrange for a rental when I was scheduling the service appointment. Asked why would they have scheduled me for an appointment 3 days ahead of time when they weren't even going to be able to look at it that day. Took my keys back and left.

Does Louisiana have a lemon law? If so, I think this applies.

Get a truck that doesn't have a sunroof. Profit.
