Looking to get a new pocket knife. Only have regular case/buck knives now. Was leaning toward Spyderco Native 5 or Benchmade Bugout mini. Don't want anything that is too big. Any recommendations? Probably $150 or less.

I'd buy the Benchmade if I was spending that amount

I have a Kershaw Scallion that I use everyday. It's small enough that I don't notice it in my pocket.

Love my old Case knives. Most practical in use.

I like my Civivi Elementum Button Lock. It's a great fidget knife.

I have a bugout that I carry every weekend when working at my farm (carry multiple others during the week).

It's a great knife. I've yet to see a mini bugout (haven't looked really)

Automatic Kalashnikov 74 (Böker)

I been through a bunch of different knives over the last few years. For whatever reason haven’t liked one that has stuck so to speak. Just got this one a couple weeks ago and I think I might have found my knife. The automatic is a real nice feature…and let me tell you….the spring in this knife is definitely impressive. Just my .02

Kids gave me a Spyderco H-1. Only drawback is the serrated blade. I have carried it for about five years.

Opinel No.7

At their price point, if it gets lost, damaged, or stolen you won't feel too bad.

You will get a ton of different answers and all will be good. You can't go wrong with a the Benchmade Bugout mini, Spyderco Paramilitary 2, Onatario Rat 2, and many others. The one I've been carrying the most lately is a Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight. To me, it is the perfect combination of weight and size.

Benchmade Bugout mini.
Good choice. My EDC is a little Spyderco Ladybug. Amazon has them in purple for right at $50. Probably have to be a bona fide LSU, TCU, Washington, Northwestern, or some purple wearing high school, fan to justify carrying a purple knife.

I like knives and I understand spending decent money on them but my favorite knife is the Kershaw Ken Onion leek. I prefer a standard blade, but they have half serrated also.

Native is a nice knife. Most Spydercos are. I'm a big fan of them. Got a Native Chief as my EDC lately. Love it. Not as big in your pocket as you think. Very pointy and sharp.

Edit
Kershaw Leeks are sweet. You won't regret that.
