Is there nothing that society can do to put an end to loud and obnoxious pipes on vehicles

From the GT’s and Dodge’s and who cares, with their engines roaring as they tear up the streets to the wee hours of the night, to these little four bangers and their tin can obnoxious pipes, to the 4x4 double jacked up redneck trucks and the street bikes screaming down the roads and interstates, there is no end to the obnoxious behavior it would seem. It’s as if society just has to be subjected to living around race tracks all live long day and into the night.
Is there seriously nothing that can be done here? Is society just this pathetic now that we just have to bow down and be subjected to the little turd heads of the world? When are we going to start adulting again?

You’re living in the wrong place if you have a large-scale problem with this type of noise.

Yeah, how’s that, and why’s it just now that it’s become unbearable? Might it be because the adults are children, and nobody is wanting to be the heavy and crack down on this shite? Kind of like how we just put up with EVERYTHING these days, including people dragging their arse over the city in trashing it up every day and we, like helpless little sheep, just have to be subjected to it all.

IOW, spreading the misery around so that everyone’s equally miserable? Yeah, that sounds like a Marxist dystopian nightmare.

Libertines, maybe, but not libertarians. In a fully libertarian paradigm, the roads would be privately owned and managed, which allow for contracting between land owners and road operators, as well as road operators and end users, to set terms of use. Think of a private race track. They have every right to determine the types of vehicles used, acceptable modifications, speed, or even usage to begin with. It would be no different for roads. In fact, it would be easier to restrict annoying behavior in a libertarian paradigm because in the current statist paradigm, the only solution is to criminalize the annoyance.

Ironically you're probably one of the old men with an American flag that says "Land of the Free" as your background, huh?
