Get them filled at your grocery store, you can just pick them up while you shop.

Go to a local mom and pop pharmacy. I gave up on places like Walgreens and CVS many years ago.

For infinitely better service, get them filled at a locally-owned pharmacy…….while you can. Those guys are getting forced out of business by the Pharmacy Benefits Management companies (middlemen) at an alarming rate. Locally-owned pharmacies and banks will be a thing of the past in the near future.

Impatience for refills is a sign of addiction.

Other than the 24 hour factor, I have NEVER understood why people use WalGreens and CVS for prescriptions. I'm in and out of my local mom and pop shop in five minutes max.

Find an independent, family-owned pharmacy is there is one relatively close.

Yeah, I was forced to switch to Walgreens after my prescription drug plan required long term meds bought in a 3 month supply at either walgreens or directly through them and home delivered.

I spoke to a Walgreen's executive and he informed he that the now business model was to no longer fill prescriptions in the Walgreen's stores and to have all prescriptions filled at central pharmacies located throughout the US.

He said the pharmacists would become vaccine givers rather than fill prescriptions. He indicated they are reimbursed about $4.00 per prescription but receive $130 reimbursement per vaccination.

The new normal will be become 24 hour wait time for prescriptions at Walgreens

This. Not only are they fast, but great prices. If you used goodrx.com, you’ll see that Walgreens prices are sky high. If you have a co-pay or skimpy insurance, this will save you a ton.

We use costco. So cheap but they don't always have the odd ball stuff but they get it in a day or two. There is never a line, and if there is one it moves fast.

Stuff I paid $20-$50 a month other places is $3 a month.
