Currently 28 degrees with a wind chill of 22 here in NE Alabama. The dog wasn’t too happy about our walk this morning.

It’s all super complicated. He is on an away rotation at U of Michigan right now until Thanksgiving, so Detroit is where he will fly out of a couple of times. Then he will be in BHM during December. Finally, he will be at U of Southern Cal all of January on a rotation there, so his travel that month will be out of LA area.
He has no ability to alter interview dates. He is interviewing for a super competitive specialty, so when he accepted invitations, he only had one or two dates to choose from. It’s all locked in now.

My son has 24 in-person interview offers for medical residency over the next 3 months. Each one usually involves a dinner the night before. He is trying to arrange travel so that he can commit to attend as many of these dinners and interviews as possible, but as you can imagine, it is a bit overwhelming, especially with the shitshow that air travel is now turning into with the government shutdown. Is there a travel agency that you guys and gals recommend he reach out to?

Easy Hemp Co makes some very good seltzers. They usually have 3 mg of THC and 3 mg of CBD. Two cans of those and I feel very nice.

The steak at El Barrio is a great recommendation. Slim’s is a great spot for pizza (and drinks). Automatic Seafood is also great.

Absurd how far away the E gates (mostly regional aircraft) are from the rest of the gates. If you have a tight connection there, you are often royally screwed.
