re: Not a big duck hunter but making a father son trip with a group in January in SE Missourri - auwaterfowler
As for loads, and assuming you are hunting a field, I would recommend Boss 3” #4 shot, or the #3/5 mixture. Their shot is copper-plated bismuth and is far superior to steel shot, and much less expensive than tungsten shot such as Hevi-Shot....

Fired Edward Jones Around First Of The Year... - auwaterfowler
...and moved everything to Vanguard. Should have done that many years ago. Pretty sure I would have easily averaged netting 3%+ more per year than I did for the last 10 years I was with them....

We are Benelli fans. They are a hard to beat. We have a 12 gauge Super Black Eagle 2, a 20 gauge Montefeltro, and just got a 12 gauge Ethos....

re: Thoughts on Remote Work/Work From Home Long Term? - auwaterfowler
I’d think it’s easier to get a blowie when working in an office than it is when working from home. But I have been working from home since 2002, so what do I know....

re: What’s your Turkey Style for Thursday - auwaterfowler
Spatchcocked and dry brine on mine today. Will inject with Cajun butter marinade and smoke Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. Mother-in-law always says it’s too spicy, but everyone else loves it. And refrigerated leftovers make the absolute best turkey sandwich....

If You Take A Shot At The King, You Better Kill Him - auwaterfowler
The motherfrickers that are the masterminds behind trying to steal the election better hope Trump isn’t successful in his quest. Theoretically, a public hanging for treason on the mall of Washington DC isn’t illegal, is it?...

Who Here Is Hunting Arkansas Waterfowl Opener This Weekend? - auwaterfowler
I’m not, but my son is throwing 700 decoys out in a rice field near Cash as I type this. Lots of Specks and some teal and mallards were seen this morning. Report from an hour north of them is that they are covered in ducks that are heading south. Probably gonna be a good opening weekend in NE Ark...

re: Anyone Have Experience With Business Valuation? - auwaterfowler
One of the greatest benefits of dealing with a Mitsubishi company is that they are absolutely the most honorable folks I’ve ever dealt with. In my 18 years of working with them so far, there has never been even the slightest hint of impropriety. One of the many reasons they are my primary supplier...

re: Anyone Have Experience With Business Valuation? - auwaterfowler
Pretty scary how almost dead on you are with your example. And to expound, in my situation, the Mitsubishi company absolutely would not incur any additional expenses to add and service my customers. The way they are set up, no one would be paid a commission on these additional sales (no one is pai...

re: Anyone Have Experience With Business Valuation? - auwaterfowler
You are exactly correct, and that is why I’m struggling to determine a firm value. There are no assets to speak of, other than the book of business. This is quite valuable to the Mitsubishi Chemical subsidiary, as I am a relatively large customer of theirs and they would not want me selling to som...

Anyone Have Experience With Business Valuation? - auwaterfowler
I own a company that is a distributor of plastic packaging materials (heat-shrink labels and safety seals). I am the only employee. Everything is drop shipped from each of my manufacturers directly to my customers, so I never touch any of the product. I am being a little over-simplistic, but I ba...
