I closed on my first house in November 2019. One of the few times in my life that timing has worked in my favor

I bought in 2015 and 2019 both times thinking I was at the top of the market and would just deal with the consequences

bought a 1800sqft starter house in 2012 for 180K, sold it in 2018 for 209K...It's currently listed at $285K

It's a bubble but one that won't burst for at least another 2 years as inventory catches back up

Pretty much exactly my house, though it's technically a 4 bedroom. $324,900 is about $50,000 shy of where I'd list it.

You should have bought a few lots when you were building your home

Bought my house in Feb 2019.

New construction in my neighborhood is selling for about 35k-40k more now for the same floorplan.

I particularly like the 1900sqft homes listed in the $350's that are time portals to the 1970's

Every bedroom doesn’t have its own full bath? Very trashy

The farm house we live in now is less than 1800 sf. Come August, it will just be my wife and I so no big deal. I'd rather trade sf of living space for my barn, shop, woodworking shop and metal working/fabrication shop. Plus sheds for tractor, mower, side by side, 4 wheeler, fishing boat and jet skis and 5th wheel camper.

Acres>house sf

We are only in the house when the wife is home for work and I'm done doing whatever it is I do that day.

It was a new build in a brand new neighborhood.

It's 3,000 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.

I just looked at our developers current listings and they have a 1,650 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath house for $324,900.

these threads are pointless. all real estate prices across the country have gone insane in the last 2 years.

What kind of tiny rooms do you have? We have 3,200 square feet and that's only room enough for three bedrooms and three full baths in the main house. The other two bedrooms are upstairs in the pool house, with another full bath upstairs and a pool shower/bath downstairs.
