Someone has to be a really invested cultist to care about SCOTUS stopping an egregious overreach like this

I suspect even average Karens don't care

Because this verdict is not surprising. We all knew it was coming.

Like OM said, this was expected. It was pretty clear that this was the correct decision.

I guess I wasn't too far off this morning: 6-3 and 5-4

quote:

Both mandate cases were heard last week so technically evidence is closed at the end of the hearing. However, after listening to the oral arguments I am 99% confident the petitioner (Federation of Independent Businesses) will prevail and the DOL for OSHA will lose. They may release the opinion today. 6-3 opinion.

I think the administration in the Biden v. Missouri case arguing for medical worker mandates for all facilities receiving Medicare and Medicaid has a better than 50/50 chance of prevailing. The opinion may also be realsed today. 5-4 opinion, maybe as high as 7-2 with a very slight chance of being unanimous.

I wonder if all of these woke large companies will reverse their rules now?

I work for one of them, so I'm very interested to see. I hope they do, but have little faith.

Should be able to sue now though??

It’s frightening because it’s a constant reminder that you have 3 justices that will constantly rule down party lines instead of based on law and the constitution. I may not agree with the other 6, but they at least will rule based on their interpretation of the law/constitution instead of just going along w the party lines

The funny thing is, liberals are never once worried about their 3 voting against partisan lines. Like I said, Kagen can swing on some nonpartisan issues but she for the most part rules exactly like a democrat would want her to most of the time.

I am under no impressions that conservatives are correct all the time, most of the time, or half the time. They are not.

But conservatives are always worried that 3 of the 6 “conservative” justices are going to break away and rule something stupid and blatantly unconstitutional (i.e.Obamacare is a tax.)

Apologies, was trying to be somewhat lightly comic and it didn't work. I've been a republican since getting out of the USMC in the early 70's. My first national political contribution was to President Reagan, $100 bucks was a lot of money to me back then. Still is.

If I have a point it is this: the greatest power ever to grace this earth isn't able to solve a simple little biological virus issue. I don't have the answer but I promise you Reagan would have solved this by now.

And, this is why I don't post on the PT board and should have ignored this one. The simple truth is the democratics don't give a shite about you, and most of the time neither do the republicans. Until election time that is.

Good luck.

Health Care Worker mandate not blocked because of Medicare/Medicaid.

This is bullshite. I’m sure the government feels since it’s “their” money they have the right to force healthcare workers to get the Jab.

It’s not their money, it’s the taxpayers money. If we had a conservative majority in Congress this issue could be laid to rest permanently.
