My wife (no pics) will be berthing twins in March. Any tips or tricks that need to be followed so I don't go batshit crazy in the first 6 weeks?

Twin dad here, having twins is awesome. Are these your first kids? Not knowing what having only one is like really helped a lot. Follow Moms on Call to a T, you have to or you’ll die. Buy diapers and formula at Sam’s, I recommend trying to breastfeed if you can, but know it’s a challenge with two kiddos. Go to consignment sales for baby clothes. Get the table for 2 feeding seat, holds both kids at once.

Edit: follow moms on call for sleep training, I meant. Sleep training is key. Our kids sleep awesome and have for a while because of it. Takes all of about 5 minutes putting them down and then they’re down for the night, have been for a year and a half now

Step number one is to figure out which one is the evil one.

Did the math and found it was cheaper to have cloth diaper service the first three months. Once they stopped shitting and pissing 10 times a day, we went to disposable.

Mix them up as many times as you want, just make sure to do it an even number of times

Hardest part is when they start walking. Bad enough with one, but now they can double team you. One of them holds up the gate so the other one can crawl under it.

Or they run in opposite directions when there's only one of you.

Ours were girls as well. Consider not having first names begin with same letter. We had a lot of issues with insurance thinking there were duplicate bills for samefirstinitial samelastname.

If a relative can come help in the beginning that would be great. Generally takes two for feedings (at least in the beginning) - so assuming you’re working it will help you to get some sleep.

Y’all will survive - ours are 23 and are fine young ladies. They are also each other’s best friend.

Twin dad here and the babies are 5 weeks old. I have been told by the wife (no pics) that I need to do more. Prepare to hear that regularly. That's all I got.

My twins are turning 7 in February. I hit the jackpot and got one of each. One and done.

Couple of things that kept us sane:
- We had in-law help for the first year. Either my mom, her mom, or her grandmother were here during the week 5 times a week to help out. We were able to sustain that for a year and save a ton of $$ on childcare. Yes it sucked because of all the ppl in the house but the 1:1 ratio sucks more.

- We found it very helpful to keep them on the same schedule. If Baby A wakes up to eat, wake up Baby B. Found we got more sleep that way.

- My wife found a twin mom group on FB. As dumb as it sounds, they actually were a lot of help. They would drop off food every now and then and the wife wound up making some good connections that could give her better support than I could. We found our baby sitter through the group, too. I wound up being a good support system for the first year. We wound up staying in the group a hand full of years to pass on the good karma.

- Get into a routine and don't break it. EVER.

- Whatever baby widget you think you need... you don't. just put it into diapers.

- Have fun. They grow up fast and you'll never get the time back. You'll blink, they're 7, and you'll wonder where those years went.

When they start walking, and they go in opposite directions, always go to the one first that may be in harms way... It’s a learning experience, you’ll figure it out...

Good luck....

Mine are 12 now, boy and girl, and they’re at the age where my boy aggravates the shite out of his sister...

My wife gets pissed at me because he does it.... I’m like he’s a 12 y/o boy, it comes with genetics....
