re: Serious question Is golf really a sport? - BeaverPRO
Since you don't play I will give you a set of sticks with a flat portion on the end and have you walk 18 holes and see how things turn out, you can make your own judgement from there!...

re: Keeper league - Last pick 14 team league - BeaverPRO
Are those the only guys on your roster worth considering?
Yes, other guys are 2nd tier guys I would look at drafting in the 6-10round range. I personally think that my league is too big as by the 20th round we are drafting 3rd string RBs and 4th string WRs We play: One QB ...

re: Dialing in wedges - BeaverPRO
I would seriously range off 70 yards to a pin, place alignment stick or towel 5 yards behind the target, drop 20-30 balls and hit at your target. once you start seeing consistently 15-20 (>50%) balls between your target and the towel/stick you will see marked improvement on the course. Do this 7-...

I have a shag bag of balls that i have taken out of play over the years and use that for short game practice. It's probably close to 200 prov1 type of golf balls:lol:...

re: Anything as close as Camp Creek to Alys Beach? Trying to find a new course this year. - BeaverPRO
If i'm going Destin area I will bypass all other courses for Regatta Bay. I find that course very relaxing and slightly less challenging than the rest in that area. Haven't played Camp Creek so I can't speak for that course specifically but Regatta>Raven/Indian Bayou/Kelly/Burnt Pine...

re: Anything as close as Camp Creek to Alys Beach? Trying to find a new course this year. - BeaverPRO
The Raven and Burnt Pine are good tracks...Not really going to do anything for the level of the other players but it's all resort golf down there, so you won't get too many Webb Parks in that area...
Any decent range should have multiple flags to aim at. Get a range finder and get the yardages. A nice practice facility will have an area just for this kind of practice.
I was thinking of something similar but instead of switching flags, I would mark out the yardages you are looki...

re: Atchafalaya is sad - BeaverPRO
few days
maybe a few weeks...A few days will get you maybe 3 bunkers & a tree. Digging and filling a hole is not what you are doing. There are contours and drainage and other factors that go into what you are talking about....

re: Teaching my nephew how to swing - BeaverPRO
whatever you do, make sure to tee up every shot he takes. Nothing demorilazes a young person from the game of golf like not being able to get the ball airborn. Tee it up and let him try to rip the cover off the ball; encourage every shot or every other one and don't try to "FIX" his swing...Ther...

re: What's a random life accomplishment you hold dear that no one gives a shite about - BeaverPRO
I was approached by a college scout at a soccer tournament my Freshman year of HS in Germantown, TN. I as playing two age groups up since they needed a backup goalkeeper.
