Haven’t seen a thread on this.. season 6 of The Expanse drops 12/10/21 on Prime.

I know there were some rather tedious storylines in season 5, but after watching the trailer I’m pretty pumped. I haven’t read the books - is this where they actually end, or just a breaking point where it made sense for Amazon to move on?

The last book came out yesterday or the day before. In the later books the characters are much older. Probably would have been difficult to produce something. Would have to use makeup or new actors. Would be strange.

I was thinking about starting a thread on this yesterday.
A lot of people in this thread last year were disappointed in season 5, and I hope they give it another shot. Book 5 was the most boring book, by far, and the show spent way too much time on Naomi.
Book 6 was pure excitement. The violence at the end of 5 just keeps going.
I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple years you hear rumors about books 7-9 being adapted into either a miniseries, or a movie trilogy.
ETA: there is an almost 30 year time jump from book 6 to 7. This is a perfect time to end the show.

Agreed. When they made the jump in the books, I found it hard to continue.

Thanks, I forgot all about it coming out this week. I think last season the first 3 episodes dropped on the premiere date but I could be wrong. One a week gives more time for people to talk, even if people like myself are spoiled to an entire season dropping at once.

I forgot how much I despise the belters 
That includes Naomi. I found myself wishing Peaches would kick her arse.
When I say I hate the belters, it isn't even on the level of Ramsey or Joffrey, who were intentionally despicable villains. They're just repulsive trash, basically space-retards with an antifa complex.

I’m with you. Although I did like the chick who basically told Filip to frick off because he doesn’t know shite about logistics. Drummer’s hard not to like as well.

What is interesting about the show is that any other show would make the belters sympathetic heroes.... and they would have justification for everything that they do.
But the belters are just terrible overall, very few redeeming qualities and they make sure to show they are just out for revenge and will do anything for it.
They should pretty much get crushed.
Drummer, Naomi, notwithstanding.
