Most people base this off of the better program. Plus the national media refers to UL Lafayette as Louisiana so I guess its a done deal now

The SLC was crap when he was at McNeese, the only real competition was Sam Houston and occasionally SFA. In the last few years SLU, UCA, and Nicholls under Rebowe have all been great. IWU randomly is putting together a few good teams since joining the conference, and Lamar is becoming hit or miss. The SLC is stacked now. McNeese will be middle tier SLC unless they make a home run hire.

Dude never had a chance. He hired good assistant coaches but they all got poached and they have no money or resources to replace those guys.

whats sad is if he could get a decent kicker to the school he likely has a few more wins under his belt (including a couple more against the cajuns and one against FSU) and would likely still have a job. thus goes life. hopefully we can get someone respectable and actually give him a chance.

ULM failed Viator. He’s a good head coach and I don’t know if ULM will be able to do any better than Viator to be honest.
I think they may make a push at Ensminger or Matt Kubik who was the OC for ULM and then left to become the OC for USM. New staff at USM probably won’t keep the old staff around

ULM was really good (for ULM) in 2018 and 2019. But 2020 has been an abomination. It takes more than the administration failing you to go winless.

Well it did happen during a pandemic so I think that’s a valid excuse. Lost a lot of guys from a good team the past 2 seasons, lost his DC and OC before the season started, and he’s at ULM, where it’s almost impossible to have success at

He’d be better than anyone else ULM could get. If not Viator, then it needs to be someone like Ensminger. Some guy on tRant supposedly has a source saying that ULM is going after Ensminger. It could be completely false though

That would be worse than when Northwestern State hired Bradley Dale Peveto which also ended up with a winless season.
