It will all be okay. University of California - Los Angeles and University of California - Berkeley have this all figured out and seem fine with it.
Um yeah. UCLA goes by UCLA and California-Berkley goes by "California" or "Cal" as their athletic brand.
How is it any different from what we do? Louisiana-Monroe markets itself as "ULM," while Louisiana-Lafayette goes by "Louisiana."

not to mention a university that actively roots against you... Saw a post circulating awhile ago that showed professors writing messages on chalkboards encouraging students to vote against a measure that would increase funding for athletics. I know a lot of academics are too short sighted to see how athletics benefit them, but to have them openly rooting against you is next level
