I've admitted long ago that I and many alums from my day are bitter. However, more than being bitter, it's really amazingly fun to mess with the ULL folks who are are so serious about always being called Louisiana and UL when it's not the actual name of the school. It's the name they just decided to call themselves and brand and it was totally against the rules.
So it's super fun to do it over and over. As much as you think we are obsessed (I'm not the only one who does it!), we think you take yourselves way to seriously.

Should NEVER left I-AA to go 1-A. At the time they were a prolific program.

Yes, but Tech was doing it and NLU had to keep up with the school in Ruston. Plus, it sounded like a grand plan, get a Brinks truckload of money to get their shite pushed in a couple of times a year, but hey, we can pay for stuff on campus and the other sports nobody but family and girlfriends/boyfriends care about.
