They would turn around and hire Weiss Jr as head coach … joke would be on us.

I don’t think Weis Jr. would want to coach against LK right of the bat —- rather go out on his own —- and start as HC at another non-SEC program.

Why would he walk away from 7 million a year to be a Defensive coordinator in the NFL? That would be dumb

Yeeaaa no… Because the first call Ole Miss makes is Charlie Weiss Jr.. And he would most definitely accept the Ole Miss HC job.

I personally would love to have Weiss Jr as our OC at least for a year or two.

I’m honestly shocked that Ole Miss didn’t offer Weiss Jr the HC job over Golding when all of that went down. I would’ve definitely offered Weiss over Golding. But thank goodness the Ole Miss AD is a dumbass

Would they then try to hire Weis as his replacement?

This is LKs offense ,no disrespect to Weis.It would be like Nick losing his D coordinator. It won’t matter.

I disagree. Its very important that your OC not only understand offenses, but also understand how to attack defense as well as game flow. Yes, having an offensive-minded HC is very helpful. But if the HC isn't calling plays himself, the OC is very important. Weis proved during the playoffs that he can run an offense without Kiffin. Thats a good thing.

Weis is very capable of duplicating LKs offense without much change or drop off.

Much different than when O had his new OCs fail miserably at replicating Brady. It’s a lot more than watching film and recreating….the key is the options off routes for WR and being on page with the QB on the reads.
