Is that a ‘llac truck

He’s consistently thrown out Traylor, Elko and Leipold as guys we are interested in. And has made it seem like DeBoer is who we really want but probably aren’t getting. Otherwise just vague references saying there’s other PAC guys we are interested in (Fisch, Smith) and that he thinks we will be hiring someone very quickly (like potentially the name will leak out later this week). Not a ton of substance though

Thanks Shane. I saw the date thrown around was to possibly have someone named by the 4th in order for ESD.

Every big time coach's agent knows A&M is desperate for a winner. Thus, the coach holds ALL of the leverage in negotiations and I doubt any big name would be willing to accept anything less than a similar commitment A&M gave Jimbo.
That begs the question, is A&M willing to lock themselves in to such a contract again? I don't think they are. I suspect they will see the success Texas is having with Sark and feel they can at least equal that with a similar hire. One that is not going to force them to lock into a huge commitment like they did with Jimbo.

Sweet. TAMU can save money because they won’t need to replace the monogrammed hand towels in the bathroom.

Jeff Fisch isn't a West coast guy. I think he's a Florida alum.

Hope the hire leaks Thursday and we can poach Robinson to come here because Ross didn’t give him a shot or any respect

He’s truly coached all over. I think he could put together a hell of a staff with the connections he has and a large assistant budget
lol

I would not be opposed to Fisch - what he has done at AZ is impressive. Would be funny to go from Fisher to Fisch ...

Hes been everywhere and worked with a lot of people
Not the worst option for someone who would be cheaper

LSU fans want nothing more than to try to hire him away
. If they had Brad Davis and Elijah it would be insane. Can't blame our fan base for wanting nice things

The parallels with Fisch and our job are wild.
Authored the UCLA comeback with Rosen that effectively ended Sumlin’s tenure, paving the way for Jimbo and Sumlin taking the Arizona job. Took over Sumlin’s mess at Arizona a few years later, building it back up. Now apparently a candidate for our job after firing Jimbo
College football is a small world. He’s not my top choice but it’s easy to see him putting together a good staff and having success at a bigger program. I’d ideally like to see him sustain it at Arizona for a few years

Jedd's background is pretty interesting. Seems like he could be a really good hire.

He was born in NJ and went to UF because he wanted to be on Spurrier's staff*

Here is how the next 7 days will go.
Liucci and TexAgs will say there is a BIG name that has interviewed and will hint at Dabo, Day, Deboer, and Lanning.
The Aggie fanbase will say they are about to rule the world.
Monday they will announce Elko or Traylor and Ags despite being disappointed will post they are very happy and its an A+ hire.
