This is the most one sided officiating I have ever seen.

Yea, this is the part I don’t understand.

P5 coordinator is one of the most successful routes to success. When you become a G5 head coach, is all that washed away?

Im not even advocating Napier, I just don’t understand the logic.

reminds me a bit of when Boise state was so bad for so long and then hired that guy who turned them around before Peterson, Hawkins I think

Yeah this is a bit of a misperception. Boise St has an all-time win percentage of almost 73%. I was surprised when I saw it myself.

The search should never get past Napier. Go after Riley, maybe Aranda. After that, hire Napier and be done. Screw all of these names like BoB, Mark Stoops, Mel Tucker, ect that have no business being on LSU’s radar. He’s likely to win 10 games at ULL this year. So that means they will have won 10 or more games, three years in a row. When was the last time that happened?

87th strength of schedule. O held Arky to 13 in 40 and they have 14 against Bama and held Bama to 20. Compare SOS. Here is Napier bull shite to end this bull shite argument and EVEN thought of him being a candidate: Wins include against a SOS of 87th. The only P-5 school they played, they lost by 20 to a 4-6 University of Texas. All of the teams in their division of their conference have a losing record except So Alabama who is 5-5 In those wins includes a 1 point win against a 2-8 Butch Jones Arky State where it took the longest rushing play in their history or 99 yards which was the difference in the game. Jones absolutely out coached his arse that night. But here is the kicker: their point differential against the teams below which have a combined 23-36 record against everyone else is a -2 total with their self proclaimed No 1! This is why you can’t look at record even within their own division and have to dig deeper. Texas 4-6 lost by 20 Ga Southern 3-7 won by 8 Ga St 5-5 won by 4 So Alabama 5-5 won by 2 Arky St 2-8 won by 1 FCS Nichols St 7-4 won by 3

I LOVE when people use the transitive property with football scores to justify an argument for or against a team or coach.

That’s not how sports works.

Now do the same comparison for nearly every other team in college football and you’ll get the same type “findings” for every team NOT named Georgia. OH WAIT! Pitt beat Clemson by 10! UGA only beat them by 7! PITT IS BETTER THAN UGA!!!

To me it's about the same as recruiting a player that dominated 2A. He may be good in college, but you just don't know.

This is a terrible comparison.

When you go to UL, according to the idiots here, yes.

His political leanings should have no bearing on whether or not he gets the job.

It's sort of disingenuous to not mention he was fired at Clemson.

He was 29, had never been a coordinator before and has admitted himself that he was not ready to be a coordinator at that point in his career. IMO to bring it up as a mark against him today is disingenuous.

It never happened before he got there. He is responsible for every 10 win season in program history. He’s clearly got a gift for program building but does he have the chops to go up again Saban, smart and fisher and win? I don’t know.

He’s not my favorite but I won’t be upset if Billy got the gig.

A ton of coaches have done equally as well at shite schools and none are deserving of a major SEC job. You don't follow Orgeron with another experiment. To be serious about winning, LSU needs to go after the best.

Looking at his resume I don't see much as an OC to inspire me either.

He was OC of a mediocre Arizona team in 2017 where they had an offense that was ranked 67th.

And he was OC (sort of) for Clemson in 2009 when they went 9-5 and had an offense that was 28th, but as I understand it Napier only assisted Dabo in calling the plays. Hence "sort-of".

I'm not sure success as a position coach is relevant for HC positions.

You have a warped perception of what type of coaches usually get hired even to the best p5 programs. A hire like Riley to lsu almost never happens.

100% agree but I don’t think anyone is saying he’s the top choice. If it falls to him then several people said no
