All 3 phases are legit.
The job he has done with that program is just flat out unreal.
They were so bad for so long.
Now, they are just plain good. They are big, physical, and smart.
Defense dominating one of the best qbs in football.
So well coached.

Napier stans: assemble

He’s a good coach and they’re a well coached team. I’d be happy with Napier.
People against Napier(as in they’d melt if he were the hire) are just projecting some insecurities and ego.

reminds me a bit of when Boise state was so bad for so long and then hired that guy who turned them around before Peterson, Hawkins I think

ULL must playing well because here come all the threads knighting for Napier.

They're gonna frick around and blow this 3 touchdown lead.

I just don't think success in the Sun Belt is a good indication of success in the P5 conferences. To me it's about the same as recruiting a player that dominated 2A. He may be good in college, but you just don't know. So when I hear how awesome Napier is doing it is kind of meaningless. Right now, he's just the king of the kiddie pool. That doesn't mean he won't be good at the next level, but it seems like hiring Napier is a risky move. There are better choices.

What about success as a coordinator and position coach in addition to success as a HC in the sun belt?
Napiers career didn’t start at ULL

87th strength of schedule.
O held Arky to 13 in 40 and they have 14 against Bama and held Bama to 20.
Compare SOS.
Here is Napier bull shite to end this bull shite argument and EVEN thought of him being a candidate:
Wins include against a SOS of 87th.
The only P-5 school they played, they lost by 20 to a 4-6 University of Texas.
All of the teams in their division of their conference have a losing record except So Alabama who is 5-5
In those wins includes a 1 point win against a 2-8 Butch Jones Arky State where it took the longest rushing play in their history or 99 yards which was the difference in the game. Jones absolutely out coached his arse that night.
But here is the kicker: their point differential against the teams below which have a combined 23-36 record against everyone else is a -2 total with their self proclaimed No 1! This is why you can’t look at record even within their own division and have to dig deeper.
Texas 4-6 lost by 20
Ga Southern 3-7 won by 8
Ga St 5-5 won by 4
So Alabama 5-5 won by 2
Arky St 2-8 won by 1
FCS Nichols St 7-4 won by 3

It's sort of disingenuous to not mention he was fired at Clemson.
Posted on 11/20/21 at 4:33 pm to luciouslou
You should add he is good at paying refs too.
Maybe he really is a Nick Saban clone.

He had an elite year and a bad year at Clemson and then he was solid at ASU and great as Alabama’s wr coach (especially in recruiting).

I am convinced ULL has paid the refs. They aren't even hiding it.
