I do like how Florida’s main selling points are his ex-wife’s connection to the university and the city (also a dump). If Lane is a football guy, then all of those checkmarks are in LSU’s favor.

Fortunately, we play our games in Tiger Stadium and you bring kids to a beautiful campus to recruit them - not to a crack house on Plank road.

All that other stuff is overblown. These are rich people who will live in rich neighborhoods with kids who will go to expensive schools.

I mean, Nick Saban loved it here. BK didn't get the results he wanted, but he seemed to enjoy his time living here otherwise.

I mean, the Kiffin's aren't going to live by the Cortana fricking mall.

I think we can all agree that Florida has a much better run state but LSU is the job with the highest winning potential.

They’re renaming it to Lanesville according to reports.

A city has some rough areas? Omg alert the press!

Maybe get a better job and you wouldn’t need to live in an area that’s “kinda rough?”

There are some very nice areas of Baton Rouge.

it's funny. The same people trash BR all the time on the OT. Someone else says it and they are up in arms.

Hell, if it's the center at the old Cortana Mall, he was definitely seeing a bad side of town.

Whoever comes to coach at LSU will probably not go north of Government St except to take 110 to the airport. They will see only the better areas of town.

Typical homer putting down something just to make his case.

Not realizing Gainesville is over an hour from any beach

I-75 runs straight down the middle of the main body of Florida before veering slightly southwest to Naples.

Gainesville is a pit stop on the northern part of that run.

BR does suck in general, but the area around LSU is amazing, our campus is amazing, and we some die hard mofo’s when it comes to football from the top of the state to the bottom.

Even the Governor, I assume is big time about LSU athletics being awesome, despite the PR mess he created.

You can’t say that about Florida.

Every big city has shitty areas. A guy making north of $13 million a year wouldn’t be in those areas anyway so what’s the point?
