possibly promote craig to oc in that situation with jimbo being real oc. He and Craig have a good past relationship

This here. Just like any DC under Saban. We know where the real brain trust is at. Takes care of two birds with one stone.

I need to know if Jimbo likes bbq or not because if he does he may retain BDP also

Who knows what happened but word was that he accepted and the deal was nixed by LSU president because of he optics with paying Miles' buyout during a time when LSU appeared to have fallen on hard times

I think OP is trying to say he's hearing this is what Jimbo has agreed to. Not what has been demanded. He very well could want all of those coaches.

Reading tea leaves and the innuendos here and elsewhere IMHO it is Jimbo first and foremost. Then...

Herman
Fedora
O

Fedora is the wild card. As duly noted previously in this thread he would walk from the Carolinas to La. for the job. It is questionable if he can be a top tier coach IMHO but we could do worse. He would do better at LSU than UNC for obvious recruiting base reasons. From what I can gather, the guy is an A hole and total disciplinarian. No player's coach routine from him. That would appease the Negatigers and other folks in our fan base who think being an Ahole is mandatory for sucess as HC. The ones who get all excited for a coach who drops F bombs and put on the tough guy persona.

At some point he has to understand he's not the hot commodity he thinks he is. Where's he gonna go better? He would be dumb to leave getting paid that much to be a d-line coach.

Naw he is not nearly that bad. He ain't being propped up by a strong armed freak at QB like a Favre. But by no means he should be in the top two and he is questionable in a top 3. Just thinking it out loud that they may turn to him if the top two say No before they go to O.

Some of the "insider" pay boards are reporting that it is Jimbo's job to take. If he declines, then Herman will be offered.

Who is this? What school's history?

If you are talking about Jimbo, I am pretty sure he would have to coach at FSU at least a couple more years to have more wins than Bobby Bowden.

OL coach would not likely be Grimes or Trickett. Could potentially be a past LSU OL coach though.

Yeah, that's not how coaching changes work.

Jimbo may be given an option to clean house, but I think he'd be crazy to, and consensus is he's going to keep the current defensive staff.

LSU will:

This is the part that doesn't add up for me. So is LSU going to try and FORCE him to keep these people? I don't believe you if you are telling me that they are forcing Jimbo to keep certain people.

I would have to assume it was more a conversation of "who on the staff would you keep?" As part of his interview more than "this is who you are allowed to fire."

So, you're info maybe accurate, but i highly doubt anyone told Jimbo who could or could not be fired.

I doubt they are forcing anyone. More likely recommending the staff but letting the next coach decide.

I doubt it too, but the OP made it seem like LSU has decided who stays and who goes, but Jimbo may be given an option to clean house. I was just saying i doubt it would ever go down like OP said, even if what he says works out.

What if Jimbo wants to bring most of his staff from FSU over including OC and DC?

The way I see it, with the coaches he listed as potentially staying on with Jimbo(minus Ensminger), they're all guys Jimbo would want to keep. He and Craig have a long relationship, and I could see Craig being named OC/QB, although it would pretty much only be a title. Aranda, Raymond and O are all some of the top guys in their field, and bring plenty to the table in recruiting also.

He doesn't have an OC. He is the OC. And he isn't firing Aranda for fricking Kelly. He isn't retarded. Kelly was probably getting fired anyway.
