Thing is, people think LSU is just “bagmanning” people for the hell of it and treasures are spread throughout the roster. They arent. It’s solely to get the bare minimum to get some sort of a competitive team fielded.

I don't care about the talks of a $50M+ roster, giving Lane and co $90M+… look at what LSU had to REBUILD. This was never a retool and win right now situation. New Dline, 3 new offensive linemen, new QB, new RBs, all new WRs… that’s a tough situation to walk into and expect crisp execution and instant success. LSU will battle and be competitive in all games. Its ok to want to be better than last season, but don’t force an almost unrealistic goal in the FIRST SEASON.

Man, we have so many options... Was watching some highlights of the more notable WR acquisitions from the portal and was interested to see Winston Watkins and Jayce Brown both playing slot a bunch. Both Kansas St and Ole Miss also used them out of the backfield a few times and that could be an interesting wrinkle to watch. With Trey'Dez having a potential breakout year, I imagine we'll be in 3 WR sets more often than 4 (Unless Tre'Dez lines up a bunch outside).

My guess would be Watkins slot, Jayce WR-Z, and Jackson WR-X
Next man up in rotation would be Wilson from UF.

Lane made it known he wanted Olsen to stay at LSU. Possibly got a raise, but Lane is really making it happen behind the scenes.

Corey Raymond
Just let Raymond coach the DB unit as a whole. He’a done it before, but Baker may like to divide up roles.

Jacob Yoro
Current Mizzou Safeties Coach. Has worked with Baker before, so familiarity with system and SEC experience.

Vinnie Sunseri
Currently just started at Georgia Tech, was UF CO-DC/Safeties coach previously. SEC experience and Bama alum.

Josh Christian-Young
Just starting at Kentucky as Safeties coach. Was at Houston previously for a couple years and worked with AJ Haulcy! Was at Tulane before than that, so has Louisiana experience.

Patrick Surtain Sr
Currently unemployed. NOLA guy, attended Karr, NFL playing experience, MASSIVE FL HS experience and was recently at FSU. He is more CB focused I believe but get Mathieu in the fold and let 3 elite DBS/coaches go to work. Raymond+Surtain+Mathieu, imagine all 3 show up at your house for a visit…

He injured the foot again. Was on pace to return then had a setback. Also saw an article where it was mentioned this wasnt a case of opting out.
