True. But if Faulk is one of them, then he isn't smart enough to be employed in that position nor be part of player development. I personally think he's probably in the small group that hasn't pissed away his earning, but I really have no idea if that is the case.

Faulk is a great person, but the RB has regressed. Hope this goes to show those who think Mawae should’ve been OL coach. Not all great players turn out to be good coaches at the highest levels.

Could have just given him a title to keep him here.

It may not be that simple.

1- He may want to be a coach. Does ANYONE here think what we’ve seen from the RB room under him deserves a continued on-field role? If he insists on being a part of the staff, then it’s time for LSU to move on.

2- I know he hasn’t been around as long as others, but if he was seen as part of the old culture here, there’s no way he stays, even in an off-field role.

If this is true, it’s not a loss on the same level as Raymond. I think this may be more of a door number one situation, but that’s just an uninformed opinion. Maybe he is not interested in staying after a terrible year for him and his family. I wish him the best, no matter what.

I would like to see Faulk retained in some capacity but I would rather have Frank Wilson coaching and recruiting running backs.

I'd love him to be an alumni ambassador for Football Ops or something. Bring in our former players for steak dinners and keep them engaged in the program.

Great idea.

Faulk is gone. Option to be retained on personnel staff. Not sure where it goes from here.

You can also keep him on staff to learn from Frank.

You can only have 10 on field coaches. You're not going to use one of those spots for an "assistant running backs coach"

I’m fine with whatever Kelly wants to do. He has a history of building great programs and hiring very capable coaches.

For the first time since Saban, coaching changes ain’t got me worried one fricking bit.
same. Just the frank Wilson hire shows me all I need to know

Haven't heard anything besides he will not be retained, would love if he chose to go back to personnel staff though.

It's funny that hours after the hire was announced, it was rumored that Raymond and Faulk would be retained.

Probably better to word it like this, because most of these leaks are just people reading tea leaves and reporting their guess as sauces.

Ok here is the facts-
None of us were involved in the coaching search, none of us were up for the HC job, correct?
BK was chosen to lead this program for the next 10 years or so correct?
If these coaching hires/changes do not work out then it’s his nuts in the grinder correct?
How about, and just hear me out…..

WE LET THE GUY HIRED TO BE HC DO HIS JOB, HIRE WHO HE WANTS AND TRUSTS BECAUSE ITS HIS arse ON THE LINE NOT OURS!!!
We are fans, we are not college level coaches so we know diddly shite about what it takes to run an elite program like LSU. Hell more than half here probably couldn’t run a successful peewee team. Wait until the process is done and the guy has a chance to put his product on the field before passing such uneducated judgement. The man has won wherever he goes, so obviously he knows what he is doing. Son of a bi!ch people!

Sorry but Faulk was NEVER an upgrade from Tommie Robinson. We need real qualified position coaches and coordinators.

Why? Why would he leave because of Faulk?

In case you didn’t know, Kevin Faulk and Sage Ryan are cousins. Trev Faulk is Sage’s uncle.
