Ok so every time we go through this with one of our coaches, the board blows up with "say goodbye to" posts. Does ANYBODY here think that CBK DOESN'T understand the dynamic at play when he lets go a coach with LSU ties..IE-Faulk/Raymond?(Yes.. I think he let Raymond go, as in, he didn't try to stop him). Do you guys think that SW doesn't understand how recruits/players feel about Faulk/Raymond? It's laughable at this point that we have so many people that still believe our new HC is oblivious as to who to retain/let go! There's a reason these things are happening and it's all to try and better the LSU football program!

My favorite have been the posters constantly posting "Kelly needs to be out recruiting" as if it is just something he forgot to start doing.

It's funny that hours after the hire was announced, it was reported that Raymond and Faulk would be retained.

Yea, these were the guys that were DEFINITELY staying.

News will come out soon but I have been told that CBK will not be retaining Kevin Faulk.

What makes you more believable than the 100's of other people with "sauces"? Why not just tell the truth and say, "if you think about it logically, Faulk might be let go, considering we have Frank Wilson back".

That would make you more credible than the idiots with sources who are batting 0/78 right now.

Both Trev and Kevin were instrumental getting Sage to LSU. You fire Kevin a year later, how do you think this is going to go over?
Here's the thing. LSU hasn't had a true regime change since 2005 with Miles. People nbeed to understand that a new coach coming in building a staff can't concern himself with isolated players that may not like a coaching move or that some recruits may go elsewhere. The moves Kelly is making are for the long-term future, not short-term saves. Making decisions like that is how you end up Ed Orgeron as HC in the first place. Not to mention, when you're not promoting from within during a head coaching change, this type of stuff happens. It's like too many of our fans have forgotten our 13 man signing class and completely new coaching staff when Saban left. That, or no one is paying attention to what's going on at other schools who have had major coaching changes. Florida has 7 total commits now yet people think Napier and they are just churning along because Raymond went there.

I love that man (no homo).

But if it is necessary for us to be a premiere program, then so be it.

If Feezy isn't willing to step out of the coaching role for Frank and take an analyst or other position for the sake of the program- so be it.

Judgements for these moves will be made this time next year and the next- because if we are playing in playoff semi-finals: So Be It. Good job CBK.

If not, we'll revisit then.

Next season going to be rough unless we get some michigan state-like transformation in the transfer portal.

Faulk is one of the greatest Tigers ever, he should have a role if he wants it. LSU should not "fire" him, let him resign or place him in some other role.

I hope at least LSU finds a way to push him to an admin role and keep his pay.

He played 13 seasons in the NFL. He was making a few million a year for some of that. He should be fine financially unless he's mismanaged his money.

I'd love him to be an alumni ambassador for Football Ops or something. Bring in our former players for steak dinners and keep them engaged in the program.

That’s one of the main reasons for bringing him into the program in the first place. The Miles regime alienated a lot of former players. Faulk was brought in to help mend those fences.

If Kevin is not at Lsu in some position next year it will be by his choice. Not saying its his choice to coach the RB's but will be his choice not to be in some position. He and his family have had a rough year. Sometimes you have to step away and Heal if that's the decision he makes

Sage is a really good athlete but he couldn't get the playbook down hence why he wasn't playing earlier till Orgeron stepped in and basically forced Sage into the lineup.

He was hurt until 1 week before they played him.

Love Faulk as a Tiger but have not been impressed with the RBs the last two seasons and even more unimpressed by the RB rotation

Yea I think sometimes when you’re a Super Bowl champion it can make everything else seem minor and that might’ve been a problem for Faulk. It seemed like he almost viewed college ball as peewee at times and let everyone get a turn. No excuses for walk ons to be getting in the game over blue chips in closely contested major SEC games. I love Faulk and appreciate him and his contributors to LSU but it was hard to watch

Already been rumblings he's going to transfer portal so it wouldn't be surprising. BJ and Ryan is the guys you need to worry going to portal.

Im going to be honest, if these kids are going to throw their sucker in the dirt like this over one coach not being retained then they're part of the problem. Don't get me wrong, I hope he stays but to not even ride out the spring and see what the new coaches are all about is just being a brat and that's the kind of shite O cultivated.

Said this in another thread a few weeks ago, but it's like having your big brother babysitting you and then your dad shows up and is like WTF had been going on here??

It's a rude awakening for some of these guys, but I was fully expecting it to happen. If you want real meaningful change not everyone will be on board and if you ain't on board with getting this program back to greatness

Maybe KF wants to take it down a notch. He lost his daughter and maybe needs to spend more time with the family?

Faulk is a good face but his coaching has not been great.
