It was reported Thursday that Michigan had offered five-star LSU quarterback commit Bryce Underwood a $10.5M NIL offer to flip to the Wolverines.

However, Underwood, a native of Belleville, Mich., hinted that he's still solid to LSU on Thursday night by sharing an Instagram with the following caption:
quote:

“#1 QB Likely to Decline Michigan’s $10.5M Offer.”

I still don’t understand how so many of yall are loving this? He’s playing us for more money, you do realize that don’t you?

Honestly, the kid will have someone “open his eyes” to BK’s coaching history & no amount of $$ will get him to LSU. BK can’t win the big games & this kid wants $$$ and a Natty. I hope I’m wrong, but I won’t be shocked if he bails on us!??

The bottom of the page should read, “LSU, you are in a bidding war!”, in case they are not aware.

Would you turn down 10 million to play for Brian Kelly?

Wants both sides to up the ante. That's the reason he put the figure out there for all to see. Yea, he's "likely" to turn down 10.5 but what about 11.5? Now if he had said their money doesn't matter, I'm firm to LSU then I would say, alright. This would make me more nervous than confident.

Don't like that word "likely" though

He is in High school. HS has all those awards at the end of a Senior's year. "Most likely to...". It's clever :)

I hate what this new NIL has done to the appearance of the game.

But I’m happy this dude is ?? for LSU

It's a shame how far college football has fallen, with money as the driving force in recruiting. I personally, hate the transfer portal, though I realize it does do good for certain individuals. I also hate the NIL bullshite, but I guess if I were in their shoes, I would like it more.

He should go to Michigan. Elite school and it’s 15 mins away from home for him.

This is really pathetic on Michigans part. Desperate doesn't begin to describe it.

Unless your school can compete financially, right?

LSU will not do that, but he will use LSU to get 15 from Michigan who is more than desperate and can afford it. LSU can't and shouldn't.

Likely?

The likely is just to torment Michigan fans with a crumb of hope. Don’t look into it more than that.

No one is more desperate than LSU right now. We need a talent infusion as bad as any program in the country, and he is the glue holding the top of this class together. If he decommits others will go as well.
