Four-star LSU linebacker commit Raesjon Davis will be waiting until February to sign and 'see all of his options,' according to Sports Illustrated reporter Glen West.

Davis, a 6-1, 210-pound prospect from Santa Ana, CA (Mater Dei HS) committed to LSU almost a year ago on New Years Day 2020. He is rated the No. 4 outside linebacker in the country, according to 247 Sports and Rivals.

Sooo...how exactly is he an “LSU commit”?

He isn’t. He doesn’t sign on Signing Day because he doesn’t know where he wants to go after “committing” to LSU a year ago? Some commitment.

Dem Garrett boys are the first to sign. Nussmeier at 7:30 and Dellinger at 7:34. Now they really want to be Tigers.

Doesn't sound too committed to me...

In my opinion, you can't sit back and wait for a guy that has been verbally committed for a year and play Russian Roulette until Feb. How can Coach O be 100% vested in a student athlete when he's obviously not 100% vested in LSU?

I don't think Davis gives 2 shits about who the DC is I believe he wants to make sure O is still there.

In other words, fire Pelini or he’s going somewhere else...

Or it could mean all the chatter about O being gone means he’d go somewhere else if that happens. You have to have the mind of a 17 year old to figure them out. Perhaps you do.

Well then he should go elsewhere because you nitwits need to get it through your addled brains that Bo Pelini is coming back and deservedly so.

Rob62 - Deservedly so? I really need to hear the reasoning, or ur lack of it, for BP to return? The buyout is all that should be keeping BP at LSU! His D has been confused, undisciplined & just atrocious for 90% of this shortened season.

Some of these kids need to look up "commit" in the dictionary.

So do most of the coaches.

Agreed. Coaches also. But once a coach makes it to a premium football school, they will stay as long as they can. Transfer portal is kind of the equalizer now.

I'm so glad I'm not invested in and emotional about recruiting anymore. There's no such thing as a commitment these days. Just gotta hope for the best on signing day and then be successful and give them exactly what they want or its transfer portal/opt out/ spekt my decision time.

wow. i guess we get the respect my decision tweet in the next few days. Is this because pelini may be gone? i think anything would be an improvement over pelini.

You people talking bad about Pelini have no clue what y’all are talking about or what you’re watching on Saturdays. The defense has drastically improved over time. This team has been hit by so much this year and they still just beat the number 6 team in the country with defense. Get the right players here with experience and we’ll see the type of defense we’ve been wanting. It’s the offense that needs new blood imo. Y’all have to give it a break. We’ve had some real unique circumstances hit us this year. And yes LSU is the only team to be hit so hard but opt outs, the nfl and injuries. Pelini knows defense and he will get it together. We didn’t even have live practices for goodness sakes. These kids need to stay with LSU man. Our staff needs to start recruiting dirty also. I always hear that LSU takes the high ground, well screw that. We need to be talking bad about these other teams like they talk bad about LSU. Find a weakness and exploit it. Let’s go get em Coach O!

We beat the number 6 team with defense? Yeah, that 600 yards we gave up is really what made it happen

Kc8876, why do idiots like yourself ignore the fact that Bo Pelini came to LSU and had NO SPRING to install a new 4-3 defense. Why do you morons ignore the fact that Bo Pelini had a very limited Fall Practice to get a defense with NINE NEW STARTERS installed? Why do you not understand that LSU has gotten better but they were forced to go through “on the job” training due to very limited practice? Regarding the yardage given up to Florida, it was obviously LSU’s plan to not give up the long ball and allow Florida to move between the 20’s and then play tighter in the Red Zone. That is exactly what LSU did and LSU won. What a bitch it must be to constantly show your ignorance. Carry on.

If you're considering all options, the day before early signing, after being committed for a year then maybe LSU needs to flip an LB who really wants to be here.

Or maybe he wants to see what will become of this investigation and shake up with the coaching staff.

Investigation for what? Title 9? The NCAA does not enforce title 9. Title 9 is enforced by the US Department of Education Civil Rights Division. NCAA has nothing to with it. Ad for the other stuff, I'm sure we'll get the answer in 4 years from the NCAA.

LSU does enforce title IX violations (or was supposed to be) but if you think it can’t impact the coaches employment at LSU then I don’t know what to tell you. Less concerned with NCAA violations. He may want to know who his defensive coordinator will be before making the decision. “Fans” look at this as a one way street. The university and coaching staff’s commitments to these kids is just as important as their commitment to the university.
