ESPN Updates Bowl Projections For LSU Football

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports
ESPN's Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach released their updated college football bowl projections this week, and both analysts have LSU heading to Orlando, Florida, for a postseason matchup against Iowa.
Bonagura and Schlabach each project the Tigers to face the Hawkeyes in the Citrus Bowl on Saturday, January 2, at Camping World Stadium.
The projections come as No. 15 LSU (6-2, 4-2 SEC) prepares for a crucial stretch of its regular-season schedule, beginning with Saturday's showdown against No. 9 Alabama in Baton Rouge.
Lane Kiffin's Tigers have won two straight games following their overtime loss at Kentucky and remain in contention for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
With four regular-season games remaining, LSU still has opportunities to improve its postseason outlook, including upcoming matchups against Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
The Citrus Bowl is scheduled for noon CT on January 2 and will be televised on ABC.
