After Alabama's second loss, ESPN's Paul Finebaum is setting off the Crimson Tide alarm that first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer is now on the hot seat...
quote:

“No, but the fact that you could ask that question legitimately and have people go, ‘Okay, that makes sense.’ I am gobsmacked by that, but it’s a real question because of how far this program has fallen in three weeks," Finebaum said on Get Up, via On3. "He has a $70 million buyout. He’s not even barely halfway through his first season. He’s still respected by a lot of people, but he’s done a lousy job.”

Milroe and his bros need to be on the hotseat and benched. There's a cancer in the lockerroom and it starts with Milroe....start doing some research about what is going on in Tuscaloosa.

His players are taking jump shots on the field while a 4th down play is going on, and kicking the ball after its spotted by the refs. Not surprised he's already on the 'hot seat'.

I’ll say this, DeBoer could at least attempt to look professional at the games instead of looking like he just rolled out of bed.

That’s dumb. Give the man 2-3 years nobody else is gonna step into that situation behind Nick saban and produce Iike saban. The game has changed.

Alabama lost 39 players to the Transfer Portal when Nick Saban left. Many of them went to some really big schools like Texas and Ohio State. Did the Alabama fan base just think that they wouldn’t be a short term effect?

The still have the highest blue chip ratio.

Finebaum will say anything to get listeners. DeBoer could lose every single game for the next two years and will still be around to at the very least coach a third or even 4th season.

Yeah, I don't think so...he would be fired so fast if he went winless next year...don't kid yourself.

he's not on the hot seat now, but if he goes 9-3 this year, and follows it up with another similar season next year, the rumblings will get very loud. I thought it was absurd to give DeBoer a contract with such a massive buyout, but ADs nowadays are just throwing truckloads of money around.

5-2 and he's on the hot seat. Laughable. But I guess pretty much no one can follow Nick Saban. If I were him I'd take the money and run if they wanna pay it.

Same.....at this point, I'd purposefully tank it if I were him.....live a stress-free life with my kids on a lake somewhere. Then again, I'm an LSU homer, so I'd tank the job regardless.

I long for the day when Finbaum is on the hot seat.

For the life of me, I dont know how he got the status as the media rep for the SEC

What coach in their right mind would even remotely consider stepping into that flaming bag of horse manure?
Are they seriously talking about firing this man? They sure are when buyout figures, etc. are being tossed around. Holy Hell, what a disaster that place will be very shortly.

I'd take the job in a heartbeat. I don't know crap about coaching but I'd love to be known as the man that destroyed Alabama Football. Heck, I'll do it for free....
