There are two that drive me up a wall:
1. Those who push their way down the aisle from the back of the plane when we have an ontime arrival.
2. People panicking because "their flight boards in 15 minutes". Boarding commencement =/= doors closing.
Honorable mention for the Jetway Jesus phenomenon that existed during Southwest open seating.

I agree with the window shade. Drives me nuts when you are boarding and the person in front of you just puts their carry on in the first overhead bin available and keep walking to the back of the plane.
Also, when deplaning and some idiot is trying to push through from the back saying they are going to miss the connection when you landed on time.

And then stand in front of your seat so you can't get out. I primarily check my suitcase because I can't deal with all of the people and their gobs of stuff. I just want to sit in the front of the plane and get on last/ off first.

Right. If I pay extra for the good seat. I'm getting in the plane at the end and I expect my overhead empty.

The rental car process at airports. Even being a member of their “inner circle club” sometimes you have to wait in the general public line for processing. The customer service reps are sometimes lacking but the potential customers are what especially grind my gears. They are where the real issues lurk. Lotsa stereotypes confirmed by eavesdropping on all the protected classes who ostensibly want to rent a car but seemingly have zero experience how the procedure works and are usually convinced that they are being screwed (possibly true but poor planning can be expensive). And it really slows down the process.
This.
The Turo app should be the model to replicate. In Turo, all the “paperwork” is done through the app. Once completed, you just show up to a location where a lockbox holds the key, go to the identified location of the car, and go.
The time it takes to take pics of the car in its present condition is the same with both, so that’s a wash.
To answer the OP, I would also add having to deal with other people in airports who do not economize their space. When lines to start boarding a gate begin, people tend to attempt a straight line even if it blocks a main walkway travelers need to use to get to another gate. It’s ok to form an L to keep the line backing up in a less obtrusive direction.
Waiting on passengers to stash their luggage overhead is also puzzling. It can be understandable under some circumstances but failing to remove “needed” things from the luggage until after boarding the plane is hardcore reeetarded and lazy. It’s their failure to plan. They should pay the penalty by doing without it. They should not put the penalty on others who planned better by blocking the boarding aisle.

Kid behind me kicking my seat .. all the way from Africa
People in the fare area smack in the walkway with suitcase/stroller/whatever and you can’t get by — no personal awareness.

Stand up in the aisle as soon as the seatbelt light comes on
I once watched a video of Japanese passengers deplaning and it was perfect. Row by row, everyone seated until it was their row’s turn.
I really hate—and this has been happening a lot at dfw to me lately—when you land, taxi, and the fricking jet bridge isnt ready.

So you're talking about Indians or who, now that SWA has assigned seating?

Guys who wear flip flops, or cut up t shirts on a plane.

Yes. And I’ve never been particularly interested in watching people in airport waiting areas picking toe cheese out from between their bare toes. But that’s just me.

So you get mad at other people because they don't know about your childish fear of takeoff/landing?
I almost always choose aisle seats because I have a pet peeve of people like you asking me to open the window so they can stare across me at a desktop background.

Airport walkers just stopping in front of me for no reason with zero situation awareness that you slammed on the brakes right in front of me to spin around and look at a pretzel shop.
It's always bad, but ATL on Sunday morning was like all of these people decided to be in the airport at once. I'm a big dude, and I move fast, and if I had the lack of situational awareness some of these NPCs have I would've absolutely steamrolled a few of them. People don't look where they're going, they stop on a dime, and just do things like stand in the middle of the damn terminal, it's truly unbelievable. I had one guy that was walking perpendicular to me in the terminal literally just stop in my path about 2 feet in front of me. I shoulder checked him as I walked by. Pay fricking attention to where you're going.
The other one is people at baggage claim. I stand back a ways from the belt to make sure I don't get hemmed in and to give other people space to chase their bags down the line because the aren't paying attention to see them coming in the first place. People will come stand right in front of me and wait like I'm not even there. Drives me crazy.
Had a big baw in the middle seat from Lex to Atl on Sunday spilling over into my seat, kept elbowing me while adjusting his girth and never once excused himself, but did try to strike up a conversation with me at 6:30am while I was obviously hungover and was actively putting in my earbuds. Sometimes I'm in the mood to talk, sometimes I'm not. Read the room. Guy had some sort of mobility issue and made me crawl over him to get in the seat, whatever, I'm ready to get in the air, but then elbows me after the plane lands and tells me to "go ahead". I understand he probably thought he was being polite, but I told him to please just grab his stuff as I didn't want to climb over him again. Just go, man, do your thing. It's like the person that comes to a stop in the opposite lane with no one behind them when you're trying to take a left. Just go, get out of the way.
The other one is the people that try to get on trains/trams/elevators before letting the people that need to get off out first. Wait a damn second and let me leave, goodness.
The last one is Chinese tourists. IYKYK.

What I can't understand is why you'd take the window seat, immediately shut the shade, and keep it closed for a flight of any length when it's beautiful weather, views, or if you want to make sure you take off/land safely.
Because it's hot as shite, the sun is bright as shite, and there isn't anything to see once you get above the cloud ceiling anyway. Yeah, if I'm flying from Miami to Exuma I might keep the shade open the whole time, but if we're heading from BTR to ATL there isn't anything down there but pine trees anyway. If you want to control the window you should buy the window seat, that's how it works.

I know all of them. I could write about airport annoyances all day long. I just need a damn jet of my own!

My nomination- People who pick the window seat on a plane but keep the shade closed the entire flight. I can understand if the sun is glaring through the window and blinding you or your nearby passengers. If I pay for the window seat, I get to control the window. If you are that eaten up with looking out of it, sit there.
Regarding the bolded, what good do you think looking out the window is going to do about taking off or landing safely? You either take off and land safe or you don’t, you looking out the window ain’t doing shite about that hoss

My one and only time flying Spirit:
Seemed to be an unusually high number of people who had never flown before. Some family with young (5-10 years old) kids boarded. Kids are clueless and don't know how to find their seats. They overshot their seats by about 10 rows.... the complete clusterfrick of trying to get everyone to back up so those kids could get BACK to their seats was so tedious that it was almost comical.
Why the parents didn't lead the way down the aisle but instead let the kids try to figure out where they were supposed to sit was beyond me.
