Wow. If they lose ESPN that makes Hulu Live a lot more attractive. Disney should probably do it just for that. Google doesn't own or control any of the linear content people buy YTTV for, they may have a hard time staying in this business long term.

From the email Google just sent me:
quote:

However, if we are unable to reach a deal by Friday, the Disney?-?owned channels will no longer be available on YouTube TV starting December 17, and we will decrease our monthly price by $15, from $64.99 to $49.99 (while Disney content remains off of our platform).

We would love every member to stay with our service, but we give you the flexibility to pause or cancel your membership at any time. If you want to continue watching some of Disney’s content, consider signing up for their own service, The Disney Bundle, which they offer for $13.99/month and which is subject to its own terms and restrictions.

Imagine thinking your product is still worth 50 bucks without ESPN, SECN, ABC, etc.

There are about 40 channels nobody gives a shite about

The Disney bundle doesn't get you traditional ESPN so that's not great advice from YT TV.

Damnit. Hulu with live TV’s menu is a mess and wife hates it. What’s left, fuboTV?

They better get this shite together. Do other streaming apps have this much bullshite with them, cause it seems like YouTubeTV is constantly threatening to drop something.
If they drop all these channels, I’m deleting my account. Would be no point to keep them since these are literally the only channels I watch 95% of the time.

Disney is dumb for not including ESPN into Disney+ as a $20 premium option. They'd make a killing.

Yeah, I was skeptical at first but some of my wife’s co-workers have been using this service for over a year and never had an issue.

Disney will never allow them to be an add on. Channel providers are the reason we can't pick and choose.

Something tells me this ends 1 of 2 ways.
1) Disney yanks their channels for a time and people bolt YTTV
2) they come to an agreement and we all have to pay 5$ or 10$ more

If Google was serious about keeping Disney channels on YTTV they wouldn’t tell you how to sign up for Disney’s bundle. They should be fighting to keep it on their platform, not give you the alternative option that financially helps the other side. This seems like collusion between Google and Disney to force people into buying a Disney subscription.

+1. The whole thing is really strange. "We are losing this company, go sign up for their service?" WTF?
