The offside call was reasonable. Damn shame.

The ball was kicked; he was onside. When his teammate headed it, that reset the offside point. It depends on the last touch from a teammate.

I do wonder how perfect those sensors are. Is it possible it registered the Portugal defenders contact?

This Portugal team ain't going nowhere. Personally thought Croatia were the better team but unlucky to the max.

He was onside with the ball was kicked in but offside at the time of the header (which was off port not croa). Is the rule from when the ball is kicked?

The header “resets” the line as it becomes the pass.

If the guys head didn’t touch the ball, it’s not offsides

It registers any touch from a player.

The chip had a signal when the defender touched it....again not offsides since it was touched

Huh?

The ball inadvertently deflecting off of him doesn't change the fact that he was off.

But did it register two touches? The Croat and then the Portuguese player?

The ball literally has a chip that detects contact

A strand of hair may have touched it and set off the sensor

His teammate didn't touch it.

The defender made last touch on the ball.

Telemundo has shown it about ten times. The ball grazed off the Portugal head and into the Croatian player that was called offsides.
