Gotta love the Japanese falling in and adopting the US as their team going forward.

Is an Austria upset too much to ask for?

I've been on the Austria bandwagon since last Euros and was hoping they could make some noise this WC. However they've been pretty whelming.

Their real test was how they played against Argentina and they failed miserably.

Spain is not as good as we thought, so anything can happen, but I'm not holding out hope for an upset.

Portugal should beat Croatia and Switzerland should beat Algeria.

I don't know about that, their tactics and ball control looks as good as ever to me.

Tiki Taka in full send with them right now.

Don’t count out Croatia. They may be older, but they’re dangerous and know how to win

If I was a ref that wore glasses or contacts, I would be reaching out after the tournament. I think that is a binding, written offer.

Hedging their bets so they don't get another sun dropped on them
