You’re going to have to go color by numbers here for Bama fans. A lot of them are new to baseball.
Last year’s national champion got run ruled by a poor to middling *northwestern state* in a midweek.

Eh. It’s a midweek game and weird things happen when you’re playing hungry mid majors in those. Unless that becomes a trend with the midweeks flush the result and move along.
We moved a stud midweek starter to the weekend rotation and paid hard for it tonight. The bats and the errors sucked, but two of those errors were pickoff attempts from pitchers that will rarely see weekend reps.

It was good to see Griffin throwing though. He’s going to be key in the postseason. If he gets back up to full speed we’re 5 deep on starting pitching.

Andreas on Tuesday spoiled us. Imagine the tenor of this game had he carried it into the sixth where we finally found some offense.
