Trussville v Auburn was a fun game last night if you like offense.

56-42 Huskies steal one on the road.
That’s a hair elitist.

Traditionally Bama trains the businessmen and the lawyers (and the doctors, if you include UAB).

Auburn trains the agriculturist and the engineer.

There’s equal value there

That’s great not sure what the frick that has to do with anything. The trailer park at Auburn is full so they can’t accept everyone you have to know how to remember how to breathe to get accepted.

Auburn at its base does indeed have higher acceptance standards than Bama right now. That’s just a statement of fact.

And I’m not saying Bama is a bad school. Again, literally have a kid there.

But I also agree with the earliest posts on this thread stating that this isn’t a flex.

My kid isn’t majoring in the strong suits Auburn offers compared to Alabama.her majors are marketing and finance with a minor in math.

And she can thrive at Alabama in those fields, and Bama was willing to finance her education more than Auburn was.

A key word you mentioned is a “hair” more selective. It’s more like a hair on the tallest midget’s arse. Let’s say my buddies who studied business and law at Alabama are doing extremely well well for themselves. Auburn is more similar to Mississippi State than it is MIT or Harvard.

There’s more to it than that. Mississippi State was in the picture too. She could have almost attended school there essentially for free.

She was accepted to all three.

He got into Auburn within 1 week of applying, Bama after a month and accepted to Tennessee for spring semester. Auburn, Bama and Tennessee are all pretty easy to get accepted into. I understand being proud big your school but you sound like a fricking pussy honestly.

I’ll take issue with this. Auburn is a hair more selective these days.

I’m not making any sort or judgement on any of the schools. My second oldest is at Alabama on an accelerated master’s track as I type this.

But Auburn was way harder on the financial aid aspect from where I stand compared to Alabama.
What the frick is this god damned thread.

Is he going back to college to play pro college football and get a paycheck?

What a lazy fricking joke.
He’s in “the hits just keep coming” mode right now.
Whatever dude. He made a play that kept us in it in a way few plays would.

Mark Ingram practically never fumbled the ball. Carter basically ended a scoring drive by bashing the ball out of that guys hands and kept us in it long enough for our offense to recover.

We can argue the definition of dominant but he single-handedly made a play that kept us in the national title race.

The FOIA revealed an affair which embarrassed the University of Arkansas. Petrino had an affair but wasn't smart about it and didn't hid unlike Nutt. Nutt didn't break any laws like Petrino that we know of but then again we are talking about a dishonest person here. Also the harassing email to Mustain that was forwarded among friends and also a story of a code red was given to a group of defensive players that surrounded Mustain in a locker room.

I don’t care about the legality lol. Fact of the matter is Nutt handled the Springdale 5 situation about as well as a toddler drives on the interstate.

He was an idiot and a detriment to his own odds that year.
The Nutt-Mustain drama with that reporter that came to light via FOIA was absolutely insane.

Nutt was self destructive as shite.
Unfortunately HTHS goes to Auburn High tomorrow so can’t go in person.

Plus the majority of our reason to go has graduated. My second oldest was the color guard captain in the band last two years.

Arkansas was very close of finding themselves in the BCS title game against Ohio State.

Had Nutt let Malzahn do his thing I’m convinced they would have.

who is Central? Birmingham ?

Central Phenix City. Across the river from Columbus.
Looking forward to the HTHS stream tomorrow. Been watching pre-season. Now for some actually meaningful football.

I do enjoy the radio broadcast. It seems more detailed and accurate. I’ll have to check this out.

Radio broadcast is always better. They have to “show, not tell” by nature.

Same. I’ll just sync it up myself.

And he'd just wreck the whole thing at the mesh point, tackling 2-3 guys at a time. Dude was a monster.

Yeah people do undersell the talent on the defensive side of the ball that year. Sure there were holes but a few of those guys managed decent NFL careers.

Josh Bynes, Fairley, Lemonier, Dee Ford and Neiko Thorpe all had more than a cup of coffee in the big time.

Fairly was like 30 years old in college at the time

He was 22 in 2010 lol.
Also still 100% certain Bama had our signs in the first half of that iron bowl. Which is on us, not them. If you’re telegraphing your shite that’s on you to correct it.
quote:

In 2010? No they didn’t.

We did. Without Antoine Carter and Fairley’s heroics in 2010 we would have likely lost that Iron Bowl. Two forced turnovers that would have absolutely been points without them.

Cam won the game. They set the stage.
