Are you kidding me? These zoom out shots showing off shitty New Jersey to the billions of people watching around the world is embarrassing. There were so many better options.

Pitch looks great. Don’t know what you’re on about.

Those parking lot shots are terrible. Basically what the world thinks America is. Confirmation bias.

The Rose Bowl should be a requirement.

East Coast time more favorable to Europe

Wasn’t much there. No yellow is the right call.

NYC is always going to be the most preferred US city by internationals and it’s not close

Most favorable time zone for viewing in Europe (and the US)

80k capacity rule for a final eliminates all but MetLife and Dallas (not where anyone wants to be for this)

MetLife wasn’t really picked as much as it was the only option

It not being the Rose Bowl is such a missed opportunity

I agree Rose Bowl would have been a good option. Maybe they’ll put it there again in 2038

Because FIFA is so corrupt and US soccer is so woke so they were never giving it to Dallas or another red state even though it is by far the best option. Same reason why the US team only played at the left coast when Dallas, Houston and Atlanta made more sense.

Not why the US chose to play on the West Coast. It was strictly due to travel and schedule.

15k fewer seats than required to host a final

And no one going to that game wants to sit in 90 degrees and humidity. Never in contention

Exactly. Why should it be in NYC? Is that place like one of the most important cities in the world? Game should be Alabama

US soccer had nothing to do with this decision

They left Illinois to build their new headquarters in Georgia

They got lucky …. in that it rained yesterday and scrubbed a lot of the wildfire smoke out of the air.

Otherwise the final would’ve been a Charlie Foxtrot….
