We give our golden purina pro plan beef and rice and she gobbles it up (but she'll eat anything). For the first 3 or so years we gave her the lamb and rice formula, but Chewy was OOS on it for a while, so we switched to beef and rice
Just paint the cable white

I don’t think I could terminate the fiber myself though

You cant
With AT&T fiber, it's just a SM SC jumper going from the SM SC box on the wall to the ONT (what you would call a modem). Not sure how REV does it, but if it's similar, you can get your own SM SC cable to run from the box to the ONT
Anyone use Steam's in home streaming these days? Just picked up a little NUC with a 12900HK that I plan to replace the PC there (have other plans for the PC), but I haven't used the in home streaming in a looooonnnnnggg time

Thankfully most of the games I'll play locally (shite like n64/gamecube/ps1 emulators, worms, and other multiplayer "party games"), but occasionally I may get an itch to play a new AAA game on the couch

total: $565 + tax

Dang, for that price I would have gone with the minisforum NAS at $599+tax. Significantly better specs and an extra drive bay

But that thing goes out of stock pretty much seconds after new stock gets dropped

its in the laundry room closet and its 'land locked'. the back wall has an exterior stone wall on the other side; the left wall has 1st floor bathroom with a cabinet on it on the other side; and the right wall is the garage which has shelving on the other side.

none of those are optimal and the laundry room gets hot in the summer when we're doing laundry; only one small floor register at the opposite end. i end up leaving the doors cracked to the closet which the wife hates so looking for something a little more elegant to help keep it cool.

You're just going to be dumping that hot air back into the room at a higher pace with a "new rack"

and re: the poweredge; i like the idea of a dedicated NAS because no telling how much longer that thing will last so i'd rather not lose both my plex server and nas at the same time

Drive failure is far more common that server hardware failure, and it takes like 5 minutes to spin up a new plex server :spank: But no telling how old that poweredge could be though. I had an R530 running in my 100F+ storage room during the south Louisiana summer without a hitch. Went through 2 summers with it before moving to my smaller/power friendly rack I posted earlier

That is massive. Need City to keep dropping points before Dias comes back.

They're just going to spend another 200m in January like they have been doing. Semenyo and Guehi on the way
Do you have a door on the back of your current rack? If so, just take it off

Why not incorporate your NAS into the poweredge server? It should have plenty of HDD slots, no?

those two teams are much more talented than Ole Miss.

Ole Piss has a much better offense than those two teams

Dude, you just posted a switch at uses 191W at 0% traffic and 0% PoE.

Yea, which has absolutely zero to do with the storage.

Edit: Load w/o POE is 162w. Mine w/ POE devices is running 202w
You need to grab a Cisco 3850-12X48U while they're still cheap as dirt to throw in the new rack, when you get it.

36x 1gb POE+ ports, 12x mgig 1/2.5/5/10gb POE+ ports, with an expansion slot for up to 8x 10gb SFP+ ports (hell, you can even get a 2x 40gb SFP+ module for it ). I got mine with a 2x 1gb, 2x 10gb SFP+ module for $100

re: uGreen or Synology NAS?

Synology used to be heavy on proprietary bullshite, drives and internals. Not sure if that's change or not, but I stay away from them because of it. Ugreen seems to be a good disrupter in the space with their pricing

I would check out minisforum too, if you want to go with something more customizable on the OS end
You have to really dilute alcoholic beverages to freeze properly, or add a lot of sugar
Not sure how available that willet hirsch is around you, but it's a damn good bottle for $125
100TBs in 2u space with 48 cores/64 threads running at max 70w
It's just not worth it. Not only are the drives significantly more expensive, but the hardware needed to support the higher bandwidth is too
