Wait until Qatar reversed course and bans soccer tomorrow because it’s gay. That will really be a hoot.

Why did Qatar even want to host the World Cup?

I don’t know the answer to that. To me, the other question is why would the World Cup officials want the games in that county.

The answer to that is simple. That committee is just as corrupt as the Olympic committee members who decide these things. They don’t give two shits about the athletes. They just take the most money offered for their own personal bank accounts.

That’s why China hosted the Olympics in their shitty conditions.

Also how is Budweiser a main sponsor?

Highest bid! Maybe nobody else offered up so much. Cheap product. Higher profit margin. More money to spend on advertising.

Aren’t they the official sponsor of the World Cup? I guess Qatar bribed more people than Budweiser to have it there.

Actually, several Arab Muslim Countries (Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.) allow the sale and consumption of alcohol, they have no problem with non muslins consuming alcohol.

This is quite literally the opposite of liberalism

It actually takes a brain dead liberal to think "Things are going to be fine in Qatar. Why would you think there would be a problem, bigot?"

The same type of liberals that would boycott a southern state like Georgia for not kissing LGBTQ+ arse would praise the games being hosted in a Middle East country.

Does Budweiser get a proportion of its money back?

(Are there still a few sites selling beer, or have they just not heard the news?

I know he wasn’t in charge when Qatar was selected in 2010, but he’s been in charge since 2016. Plenty of time too do something. The US pushed very hard for fifa to move it to the US to host this year instead of us having it in 2026. We had the venues and logistics in order to make it happen. They refused.

Wrong. I’m a religious conservative, so religious conservatism could never be a causal factor in something happening that is considered bad.

FIFA and Ab InBev done fricked around and found out. Arabs have no fricks to give when it comes to their business and money.
