Let’s say Balogun is out. What would you do with the starting XI?

Do you keep everyone else in the lineup and just put Pepi in place of Balogun? Go with no true forward and start either Berhalter or Gio?

Something else?

And would you make any other subs? I wouldn’t. I’m pleased with every player besides our goalkeepers, but Freese is our best option.

I’m giving Haji a shot, but that’s just me

Pepi is not it. I haven’t seen enough of Wright to even make a judgement.

I’ll go way out on a limb and say it’s Weah redemption tour. I have more confidence in Weah playing 1-2s with the rest of the front than I do in Pepi doing anything productive.

I’m not a fan of a False 9 or bringing CP into the center. So, scratch Reyna from that consideration.

Pepi has had plenty of opportunities and shown nothing. It’s either Haji or Weah getting the start and you have a quick trigger if he isn’t working.

I wouldn’t mind giving Wright a run.

I could see pushing Pulisic central and bringing in Weah out wide but Weah was so poor last match. (Granted he was playing on the opposite side)

Pepi hasn’t shown enough spark.

I'm going with Haji. Plus he's an actual World Cup goal scorer and he's only gotten better since then.

I love Weah but he has absolutely sucked this tournament.

You can’t just put another striker in and tell them to go do what Balogun does. They can’t. He’s the best striker the IS has ever had, and it’s not really close.

They will have to move someone into much more of an attacking 10 to play off of whoever starts, if they want to keep up the attacking play. I’d prefer they do this because this team seems to thrive on playing on their front foot. I don’t think they will do as well trying to sit back.

Belgium has been mostly arse on the attack so far so they may sit a little deeper and try to catch them on the counter. Like I said though, I hate that approach.

Pepi has been awful. It has to be either Wright or some sort of false nine.

The only player besides Balo that gives you any scoring threat one-on-one is Pulisic. They'll probably start with Pepi at striker with Pulisic trying to feed him from the LW.

My big concern is pace in the midfield and wings. It was not there today for the most part against a team we should have been beating down the field every possession.

Balogun does so much of the heavy lifting for the attack. It’s really going to take a team effort to keep it up.

The US is screwed if the only answer is Wright or Pepi.

I want Pepi to be the answer so bad, but he has been atrocious so far. Just seems like he is processing everything a step slow.

Haji hasn’t gotten much run, but he has that it factor to just score. Obviously he’s not Flo, but that “make shite happen” trait is the same.

The drop off from Balogun to Pepi or Wright is pretty damn stark.

I think I’d rather pulisic up front. He hell even Mckennie. Pepi and Wright just aren’t of this class.

Yeah Pepi has been trash. I like Wright but even at Coventry it seems he scored most of his goals at the end of games, so I think at this point we ride with Pepi until we realize it's not working and bring on Haji.

Haji is our only other striker that can actually hold the ball up.

No, pulisic does not need to start up top. I’ve seen multiple teams try that experiment and it simply doesn’t work. Hes a top player on the left wing cutting inside that’s his bread and butter. He gets bullied off the ball too easily to be top.

Take a chance with haji

He was terrible in the last game and he acknowledged it publicly. He’s still one of the more gifted players on the squad and one poor performance can’t be the end of Weah and the national team.
