re: What teams do you have a fondness/affinity towards?
Posted by Broyota2 on 12/22/25 at 4:18 pm to southpawcock
Been a fan of Manchester United since I attended my first game in April 2003. My older sister was working in Manchester at the time and scored two tickets for United vs Liverpool saw United drum them 4-0 and have been hooked since.
I also have always rooted for Fulham, I attended a match at Craven Cottage couple of years ago and its a proper old school ground. Fans are great, area is great.
Have an affinity towards Everton strictly due to my disdain for all things Liverpool.

Wrexhams tactics at the moment are unsustainable. Now I’m not sure if Park is unable to play anything other than a deep line to absorb pressure and try and get a scrappy second ball goal, or if they just don’t have the players to play his preferred system. They are a tough watch right now.

Shows how important De Ligt is in our back line. We need him back pronto. Yoro and Heaven are quality but just lack experience, you see it in temporary lapses in decision making. Luke Shaw is just old, unfit, and can’t play past 60 minutes.
It also doesn’t help that they are being shielded by a 2 man midfield where Bruno offers little defensively.

Mbuemo straight up looked like he was intentionally throwing those chances and moving at half speed. That last chance he had from 6 yards out that he absolutely shanked was awful. It's scary how quickly he has fallen down to our other players levels.

Probably but oh well you get those decisions at home I guess. All in all it didn't matter the defense is in absolute shambles and Mbuemo had an all time stinker. Put three solid chances 50 ft over the bar.
Wellp blown lead for the 3rd time tonight

Frankly, it wasn’t a handling offense to set up the Bruno wonder strike.
Maybe not but refs/var have completely blurred the lines and no one knows what the handball rule is anymore.
Blown the lead twice, Bournemouth have scored twice in about 5 minutes. Losing 3-2.
Edit: Bruno with a crazy free kick 3-3 78"
Holy shite Cunha immediately scores to make it 4-3

These players are shite. We gas them up because we spend big transfer fees,
Spurs suffer from the same thing Manchester United have in recent times. There is no cohesion between the scouting/recruitment department, technical director/department, and the manager. It’s just let’s sign players just to sign them because they have high price tag. There’s no cohesion between player archetypes and playstyle. It’s just a constant clusterfrick.

Dude why do you care who other grown adults support?
Talk about blowing the biggest opportunity of all time. Dude basically started on 3rd base, didn't even have to interview for the Michigan job. Gets fired for cause, recieves $0, and is in jail.

Apparently Mainoo is definitely leaving in January. How United's medical team and Amorim have ruined yet another promising talent is truly mind blowing. Went from scoring in a FA Cup Final and being the best midfielder for an England squad that reached the Euro Final, to not being able to get game time in a midfield two of Bruno and Casemiro. Only we could pull that off.
Finally put a bad team to the sword, wish we didnt drop those points vs Everton and West Ham. We'd be so much higher.
update, we just let Wolves score their first goal since October.

We are a hard watch, somehow Dalot tried his hardest to screw up a 1v1 vs the keeper but the ball still landed in the net.

Yea I start cracking like a mf especially during the cold. I use Aveeno's eczema therapy lotion, its unscented so it doesn't burn if you are applying to dry skin.
re: Is the Big 6 now the Big 10?

Not really, there are a lot more competitive teams top to bottom for sure, but there is definitely still a ceiling. The PL FFP/PSR rules have had the opposite effect of what I think they were intended to do. The smaller clubs who have new ownership for example aren’t allowed to spend money their billionaire owners clearly have because they aren’t getting that +100m from champions league spots, nor do they have the ability to make the gains in commercial revenue such as United, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc..so they are forced to sell their academy players for pure profit or their best players just to fall in line. You can see how thats counterproductive.
Obviously there should be financial controls to offset some sketchy disaster, but make them less restrictive.

I embrace being the villain team, makes victory taste even better. Also finally brings the LSU vs Ole Miss rivalry back to the glory days.
I haven’t seen an absolute collapse of a team like this since Moyes first season at United post Fergie.
Bama/UGA/LSU are essentially the same job IMO.
