if it were to stay the way it is right now, we'd have a very, very good chance of making to the semifinals...
should win vs. Bosnia, then next up would likely be Czech Rep... should beat them as well... then face either Ghana or Uruguay, teams that i feel we can definitely compete with and probably beat

After beating Bosnia it will likely be Belgium. Not sure how you are getting Czech Republic who will probably not even get out of the group.

The bracket from the BBC link in the OP. The groups standings will definitely change from how they stand today as most groups have only played 1 game but as it stands right now, USA have the easiest possible path to the semis. Screenshot as it stands also on 1st page.

I much rather Czech Republic but if we have to play Belgium I think our speed will kill them. Would be nice to get a little revenge as well.

The latter is just wrong, it has Spain 4th in the group (out of the knockouts) and they currently own the 3rd place tiebreaker. I would not trust it if it can’t get basic things right

This "explains" which 3rd place team we would get. Basically it depends on the combination of 3rd place teams that qualify for the knockouts

If I understand it correctly - if either Bosnia or Qatar win their game and don't draw, we get the winner of that game in R32? Then Egypt/Czech in R16 and a possible Spain matchup in QF.
