No, it's prime property all around Broadway and 2nd Street, Wildhorse Saloon, etc

Once AGAIN. Property taxes should be illegal.

Do yall now realize that if there is a property tax then you can't own property. So lets say you live in Louisiana and think you own a home. YOU DON"T!

People don't want to rent because they can be kicked out by the owners at any time. Well just like this example... the real owners of their property raised their rent and will have to give it up and probably lose all of the money they spent "buying" the property.

Property tax is tyranny. Just be glad it hasn't hit you like it has in so many other places. Florida for example. People being forced to move because they can't afford to pay the rent on a property that they already paid off the mortgage on.

And if crooked Hillary and cackle had been installed, this would’ve already started happening at the federal level. That whole Booker plan of taking property to redistribute it equitably thing. This is how it would go down, raise the taxes and or environmental requirements to levels that couldn’t be paid for by the evil owners.

yep, so the bars and high end stuff can afford all that property tax I guess, but I'd be looking at the old mom and pop record stores and musical instruments stores property tax amounts as comparisons, because an old feed store right there would bring in less than even those little guys I guess

it's public record, the attorneys know that obviously

what's also a huge mistake for Nashville is picking on a fricking feed store. You're supposed to be the home of country music. I'll bet Big & Rich and Brooks and Dunn and others come in flipping over tables like Jesus

This a big opportunity for Nashville's now pathetic music scene and new woke arse shite to get exposed.

I don’t know if this is true, but there are articles out there of him wanting more civil rights tourism in Nashville, complaining about people not following covid guidelines and questioning ICE enforcement. One of the investors in acme was a democrat mayoral candidate.

It's not just him. Everyone's taxes sky rocketed after new property value appraisals. Borrom line is its a high demand area and is being gentrified. Big corporations are going to force these "mom and pops" out of the area

That’s precisely what’s happening. This is all about running the locals out of their houses and businesses to make room for rich hipsters. Nashville was colonized. Its going going to be recreated as some fricked-up man-bun mecca.

There is that "the left is for the small business owner" mantra being destroyed once again.

Somebody tell Mayor Coach Sid to do the same on Highland and Nicholson between Roosevelt and South Blvd.

Looks like that business owner is getting exactly what he voted for.

I was going to guess that he was getting exactly what he voted for.

Just didn’t think it would be his ox.

Oh. This is NOT a feed store. It's a restaurant/music venue. Pretty successful, too. The owners is a big democrat supporter. He asked for this.

Well that's some rich irony (if true).

Vote for the same people that will destroy you. Seems like a great idea.

As long as property tax exists, you don't own property. You just paid for the right to rent it from the state.

Maybe the mayor has the courts in his corner but seems like he should be able to sue for some form of redress to comps on either side of him, across the street from any similar businesses. It's an obvious grab and surely there is someone in Nashville left with a little sense.

Oh that's a prime location. On the corner of Broadway and 1st, on the river. That's basically the equivalent of the foot of Canal Street and the river. They definitely want that property for something else.

I lived in VA 35 years ago and this is what happened throughout northern VA. They started zoning farms as residential land and it forced them out and then all the suburbs of DC moved south.....and the state turned from red to purple to blue.
