Yep. Shocking for me as well. I was working for a restaurant corporation that was opening American themed restaurants and apparently the Home Office needed a lot of convincing that no UK national was capable of doing my job. The process involved intricate searches of my biogragphy and experiences prior to that time and took about a year to process. I think the only ones who were happy about it were the solicitors.
