And I'm not sure the reason, but the deal the state struck way back when with the feds on energy royalties is just so absurdly shitty.

I read something the other day that stated Louisiana has the highest percentage of native born residents than any other state….that tells me there is relatively no one moving to Louisiana by choice and the best brightest are moving out.

It’s the general culture of Louisiana w regard to gov. Plus at this point the brain drain has left the state with nothing but clowns to run the state. R or D doesn’t matter, it’s clowns all the way down.

This guy. Some say he saved the colony of Louisiane a few times from starvation.
For his service the king of france rewarded him with land in the colony.
The land he chose he sold back to france so that new orleans could be built upon it.

The corruption is so deep and engrained it can seemingly never be broken. The politicians will never not steal that money and use it for their own personal gain.
I know for myself I just got so tired of how hard everything was, living in an expensive area and paying high sales taxes, moderately high property taxes, state income taxes, high insurance costs and still having to send my kids to private school, and not being able to use any public thing.
The people who stay make so many excuses for it for some reason. I did for a long time too.
Texas by comparison is so easy, everything is nice and usable. Getting out of LA is seriously like being able to breathe again, wish we would have moved a long time ago.
