Neck was not and has not been played in TS in years. The students just start STTDB chants to other songs now. Might as well play Neck.

Oakwing has improved. But Links is still in good shape. There hasn’t been any flip. Links hasn’t dropped off.
Shhhhhhh. Don’t jinx us with the gambling gods. There are no locks.

Just because I believe FSU earned a spot in the playoff doesn’t mean I am of the participation trophy way of thinking. They won every game on the schedule, that’s more than participating, that’s kicking arse. And I see the injured QB situation differently than most I guess. I see it as another feather in the FSU cap. To have the character to overcome the loss of such a key player only further demonstrates the toughness and determination of their team. But really, come on, someone can have a different view than you and not be a participation trophy mentality.
I know Milroe is not a Heisman candidate in a sane world. I was just suggesting some Heisman voters could be as corrupt or as stupid as the playoff committee. But I think JD5 is the most deserving. But we see what deserving got FSU.

Hope so. But what if Heisman voters are as corrupt or stupid as the playoff committee. Milroe might get the back door win.
re: Are there any SEC teams besides us we’re actually cheering for this bowl season?

I don’t pull for rivals. So hope Ole Miss and Alabama get prison raped. The rest of the SEC I will pull for unless I bet against them.
I will say that Alabama has an impressive resume that should be good enough most years. A 12-1 SEC champion should make it almost any year.
But this year is the exception. 3 undefeated P5 conference champions should be there. And since Bama loses head to head vs another 12-1 P5 conference champion, the Tide should be on the outside looking in. Because it didn’t work out that way, that only leaves incompetence or corruption as the reason why. It should have been FSU all day everyday.

Florida State 100% got screwed. 13-0 in a power 5 conference with 2 OOC wins against SEC teams. It’s not that they deserved a spot, they earned a spot.

How is 13-0 a participation trophy? That is undeniably earned.
I don’t really expect the committee to do the right thing. But if they do the right thing, to me it’s really simple. There are 3 undefeated P5 conference champions. They all should be in. The other 2 P5 conference champions are excellent and deserving teams with impressive 12-1 records. Only 1 can get in. They played a game early in the season and the road team wins by 10. Clearly that’s the tiebreaker. So it’s Mich-Wash-FSU-Texas. I believe UGA and Bama should be left out. Can’t wait for 12 teams next year.
re: Michigan, Washington, FSU, and Texas are the right choices....

Because they went 13-0 in a power 5 conference. Because they had a significant injury to their star player, but overcame it to continue winning. Because they played 2 SEC teams as part of their OOC schedule. Would be criminal to deny them the opportunity. They have earned it. But I think the committee will probably screw them over.

I would support every Heisman winner and national champion coach having a statue.
re: I love Brian Kelly. He will bring an NC to LSU

Very much a victim of his own success last season. Reaching the SEC title game after winning the west created unrealistic expectations, especially after considering the depleted roster he inherited. I too am confident in his ability to bring us another NC.
That being said, I think its important to finish these last 3 games strong. Need to see some effort and fight out of these guys to show that they are buying in to Coach Kelley. Also think he needs to make some significant upgrades to his defensive staff. Accomplishing these things would go a long way to showing that he is the man for the job.

Yes the loyalty points double on merchandise purchases.

Something that Links offers that Oakwing does not offer are loyalty points. Loyalty points can be converted to cart rentals or green fees. So if you wanted to have a guest and you have earned enough loyalty points, your guest can play for free.
re: Scott Rabalais doesn't think you should boo Army either
Posted by greek on 10/18/23 at 2:43 pm to BilbeauTBaggins
I generally boo, hiss, cuss the opponents that are in the SEC or an OOC opponent that is a legit threat. Typically don’t boo at the smaller rent a win opponents. So will not be booing at Army. But that’s just me. You guys do you.
When was this free and fair election that you speak of? Cause it damn sure wasn’t held In November of 2020. That one was full of fraud.
re: In your opinion: what's the worst city in Louisiana?
Posted by greek on 8/28/23 at 6:42 pm to SportsGuyNOLA
A city like Alex can be an ok place to leave if you’re like me and don’t have to be entertained at night. I’ve got a steady job, a nice house, 2 pretty good golf courses only 10 minutes away, numerous hunting/fishing spots within 45 minutes, some good friends, and enough places to eat out since I only do that about once a month anyway. My 3 kids received a pretty good public education, I can be anywhere in town I need to be in 15 minutes or less due to minimal traffic, I’ve been pleased with my doctors and medical providers. Now if someone wants a nightlife or social life, not much of that. But I’m beyond that in my life at this point.
