Yep, the “Read my lips” lie showed that the cuck Bush didn’t learn anything from Reagan.
This opened the race for Ross to enter. Ross and George split the same vote. Either alone would have kicked Slick Willy’s arse.

This. To elaborate more on the Clinton angle, he was incredibly charismatic and could give great speeches. His affair with Gennifer Flowers came out and he was able to weather it by doing things not really done at that time, like going on the Arsenio Hall show and playing saxophone.
It was GHWB's election to lose and he did so by being far too focused on international issues and not focusing more on the domestic economy.

Ross Perot got just shy of 19% of the vote. Bush lost by 6. You might say 1 or 2% wouldn't have voted if not for Perot. That still leaves at least 15% for Bush.

Because he listened to the f*cking Democraps in Congress and raised taxes which they, in turn, used against him in the election. You couldn't go one thirty minute TV segment in 1992 without seeing a video of Bush saying "Read my lips, no new taxes." You could also add in the fact that Bush basically told his base to F*CK OFF because he thought his poll numbers were insurmountable after the Gulf War.
That REALLY turned off Conservative voters and when Ross Perot entered the contest, it gave these "conservatives" the protest vote that they wanted.
I knew MANY, MANY Perot voters who never voted for another non-Republican ever again. But, they were just pissed off enough at Bush placating the f*cking Dims that they felt they needed to throw away their votes just to make a statement. I tried to talk them out of it by pointing out what a truly filthy and disgusting slimebag Slick Willie was, but it was to no avail. GHWB was constantly kissing the a$$ of the Dims and their Komrades in the media because he thought they would like him and wouldn't use it against him. As with most things, GHWB was f*cking WRONG. And, we've been unable to get the filthy f*cking Clintons out of politics since.

It was not taxes as so many on here want to believe.....Reagan raised taxes and is deified. Clinton ran one of the smartest and slickest campaigns ever. He and Carville/Begala/Stephanopoulos went about convincing everyone in the mefia that we were on the brink of economic apocalypse. Then Ross Perot entered the race and people liked his energy,wit and his intelligence.
What also happened was that the Republicans were losing in California.....BIG. Then Perot drops out, Bush relaxes and his poll numbers actually go up. Then Perot pops back in and Bush's numbers drop.

Several reasons.
1). He seemed to be disinterested in the reelection until the last month or two.
2). Perot hurt him both via attacks and pulling votes.

Another key component is the Greatest Generation (that’s the WW2 one, sit down and suck on your thumbs millennials) were the largest voting block of that election and many were PISSED that GHWB left Adoph Hussein in power.

Yeah, Carville/Begala/Stephanopoulos/Clinton were so f*cking brilliant that they only managed to get Clinton 43% of the vote. That 43% would have literally voted for a f*cking donkey with a "D" behind its name.
Are you saying that you believe that the VAST, VAST majority of Perot voters weren't conservatives who voted for Perot as a protest vote against Bush for his constantly kissing the a$$ of the Dims and agreeing to all of their bullsh!t -- like no new taxes?
I guarantee you that if Bush hadn't spent four years trying to get the Dims and their media Komrades to "like" him, he would have won with or without Perot in the race. Without Perot, Bush would have had at least 53% of the vote had he not turned into a f*cking Dim a$$ kissing RINO.
