re: I went to Alabama, which is about as redneck as it gets.

Sheesh, guys. It’s okay. Alabama (the state) is at least partially associated with rednecks. Redneck Alabama white kids want to go play football at one of two schools… that is a redneck dream. That doesn’t mean that anyone who ever came from Alabama, went to UA, or played for the Crimson Tide is a straw chewin’ sister kissin’ redneck. It also doesn’t mean that any serious person puts stock into these comments. Anyone who does is likely doing so as an exercise in confirmation bias anyway.

I don’t know for sure that they’d have won. USC was talent rich as well. But as an Auburn fan posted earlier, it certainly would have been closer.
re: Klatt - 90% of the coaches, 100% of the ADs in the SEC support a 24 team playoff

quote:So basically Clark Lea and Jeff Lebby told him that everyone agrees with them. No need for further research. Especially with something as high stakes as an anonymous poll of at max 16 people.
"I had multiple coaches tell me that 90% of the coaches in the SEC and 100% of the athletic directors in the SEC favor a 24-team model for playoff expansion."

The Spurs are trying to injure him by getting under his feet when he shoots. He's been falling away so he doesn't step on their feet. It's easy to spot if you look for it. His basketball IQ is on another level.

quote:To be fair, we had the same late January cold snap down here in Panama City, extremely uncharacteristic. We had a low of 16 one night.
I was in Nashville in late January and it was in the teens. They'd risk this every time they have it there. Sure, there's an off chance it's in the 50s or 60s during the day, but more than likely going to be freezing or around freezing.
frick. That.

Extreme hot take here but Wemby is only an elite defender because of his length, not because of IQ. He's kinda reckless to be honest. I'm not hating at all, but this is not some reincarnation of Kareem or Hakeem on defense.

It’ll be the typical Warriors and Lebron type of “not them again” hate, though.

Ask Mark Jackson how easy it was to win with the Warriors. Coaching is still a very important part of basketball at all levels.
