Not sure his picture but idk how much longer we can sustain this debt. Our spending is out of control. You just mentioned ubi before that it will be universal healthcare.

I also don’t see any trend of masses getting off the government teet if anything it’s just more and more joining every year.

No one can predict the future, but I always roll my eyes when the older generations slam millennials. It's not like they've done a bang up job with everything.

Also, as time goes one, we've learned that they've really swept a lot of things under the rug. I'm looking at you, Hollywood and the Catholic Church. And let's not forget about that congressional hush fund....

Nobody is telling me how they think society will look or feel though.

Just reasons as to why we are going to fail.

Will there not be a society anymore? No more government? Totalitarian state with camps? Constant civil war?

What should I prepare my daughter for in your worlds?

Humans are woefully bad on a macro scale at predictions even in the short term. We always have been and always will be. There's no way to forecast the future of America like that.

My concern comes from how we can clearly see a number of risks to America bubbling up from the surface. Many of these risks are unique and hard to compare to something historically. How we manage these risks will determine our future.

I think "society" will be different, and driven by digital technology. The iPhone will evolve into something new and weird, perhaps implanted computers that interact with our brains.

People will not personally interact much, except to have sex (much like milennials do now). Marriage will be a rarity. Populations in western countries will be severely in decline, and whites will become a minority. The world will have to join forces to defeat Islam once and for all.

It won't be all doom and gloom. Overall quality of life for people across the economic spectrum will be better. I don't see the USA going full-on socialist. I think people will live much more simple and frugal existences. No more ostentatious boomer lifestyles. No giant SUV's. Smaller houses, lots of high-rise apartment dwellers.

Those statistics don't help your case at all. 42.4% is disturbing

Well it doesn't help your case that the problem is getting worse when the numbers have dropped by 10% over the last decade.

Honestly I’ve thought about this myself.

I just turned 40. I used to worry about what it will look like in 50-60 years.

Now not so much. I’ll be 90-100, so chances are I’ll be dead.

Therefore, I don’t really care what it looks like in 50-60 years.

My plan is to set my kids up the best i can and hopefully make their lives as easy as possible.

Y’all have fun in the year 2068 - 2078, IDGAF

Trump's Presidency will be remembered as the death throes of the old, bitter guard. At some point in the next 20 years a great leader will emerge to bring the country back together based on our contemporary values without relying on nostalgia for our flawed past.

The out of wedlock birth rate will be our undoing as a nation and ill admit that I have contributed to that, me and the wife were unmarried when we found out we were due for a kid last October. We ended up getting hitched, honestly it was gonna happen eventually, but either way we did it right and so far its worked out good. I got a great paying job and can easily support while still saving up money.

Now then you get the women who get knocked up by some rando and gives the kid a name like Jackshon, after having another kid with a different guy, thats what is leading to Americas downfall
