1st budget deficit - JFK (not a boomer)

Gold standard ends/ Opens China - Richard Nixon (not a boomer)
First trade deficit - Nixon (not a boomer)
Deficit doubles for the first time - Reagan (not a boomer)

And all the party leaders of both sides that carried the water and pushed the bills through that weakened our financial stability? None were boomers

Housing cost issues, specifically suburbs, began in 1947. Boomers were 1 year olds at that time

Car prices were already escalating in the 1950s. US opened its markets to imports to allow lower priced vehicles. The oldest boomers werent even teenagers at the time

Join at 18. Retire at 38. Dont marry stupid and get divorced. Have a second career with a gaurenteed safety blanket, or go show people where bags of charcoal are at home depot... or do nothing.
A lot of guys I know went into the plants after.
Its pretty nice getting that paycheck with the monthly bonus we got from doing our time with Uncle Sam.
Can't find one living hard, and not one that wishes they did it differently.
Same goes for those that retired and did nothing after.
It is a gateway to the American dream. If youre man enough to take it.

I'm a boomer.

I worked hard and paid my taxes and bills. I have never been a burden on society. What exactly have I done to anyone? If you want to blame anyone, blame Congress and blame FDR's New Deal and Lyndon Johnsons great society.

Conservatives build and create, then liberals create policies of jealousy and greed that destroy it all and blame the "rich" and conservatives for the failure. The Democrats are the arsonist and the purported fireman and you blame the carpenter who built the house for the destruction.

There isn't really a generational issue in the sales community from what ive seen. Mostly it's the new people envious of the guy or gal that has been doing it at the same place, has a huge customer and referral base, and doesn't have to really work anymore.

It seems like they just sit there and everything comes to them.
While the new reps have to grind.
You have to grind to get to that.
