Whatever happened to the libertarians on this board?

This board was very libertarian even two years ago.
Now it is filled with people being against sex outside of marriage, affairs, reading the "wrong" texts, not living a Christian life which is supposedly our foundation, etc.
Where are the libertarians, why are they not taking on the Trumpkins? Cowardice?

Many lukewarm libertarians like me abandoned Paul for Trump when we realized he was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I'll go back to that after Trump's glorious reign ends.

Most were chased off by the tide of idiotic new Trumpkin posters that showed up during the GOP primary season. They ran around calling some of the most principled and conservative posters “cucks” over and over again until discussions on this board basically became impossible. We lost so many good posters in that time to the detriment of the board. It’s finally starting to recover these past couple months, but still not as intellectually diverse as it used to be.

A libertarian can believe all of these things. Ones personal preferences have nothing to do with libertarianism.
Libertarianism is about self ownership /private proper ethic. That is all.

Exactly. I can hate smoking, believe prostitution is wrong, and think that there is too much cursing and penis in comedic movies while at the same time opposing smoking bans, support legalizing prostitution, and believe in free speach for filmmakers. Just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean that others should be enjoined from enjoying it. I support the freedom of everyone to make their own decisions to as great an extent as possible without intruding on other’s rights to do the same.

To answer OP's question with a question...what does any of that have to do with libertarian thought?
I don't think people should have sex out of marriage, have affairs, practice homosexuality, fail to pursue a relationship with Christ, etc.
That doesn't mean that I want any government to force people to agree with me or follow my path.
Libertarian isn't synonymous with atheism, or social progressivism or any of your other lameness.

A lot of libertarians simply don’t post here anymore. A lot of others don’t like Trump personally, but see him as the best chance for getting some positive change. The rule of law is important for libertarians, so getting regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies purged, to an extent, of corruption is something libertarians can get behind.
Doesn’t mean we won’t criticize Trump when he does something stupid, like repeal Net Neutrality.
