Not everyone wants to live in a libertine society or community. Some of us have strong preferences for certain social norms. Who is anyone to say we shouldn't?

Not really. All libertarians agree that NN should be repealed.
All libertarians agree that barriers to entry in the telecom and ISP industries should be reduced. Where the hardliners and pragmatic libertarians diverge is on timing. Hardliners want it all repealed ASAP where as pragmatists think that barriers to entry should be lowered before NN is abolished so as to avoid handing control of the internet to a cartel of corporations hell bent on destroying everything about the internet that makes it useful for human kind. The pragmatists want to wait until more choices for ISP’s exist for consumers. Hardliners believe that more choices will not come about without NN’s repeal.
It’s simply a debate of whether we should put the cart or the horse first.

think it's kind of silly for you to suggest people shouldn't partake in these things. even if you would never seek to limit those liberties via legislative policy
Everyone adheres to some set of social norms. I mean, I'm not a big fan of drug use but don't think it should be illegal.

I think that’s a fundamental misunderstanding when it comes to libertarians: just because we think it should be legal for a couple of guys to sit around naked snorting coke off their marriage license while hitting each other on the dick with a ball peen hammer doesn’t mean we think it’s a good fricking idea

There's a 70 year old hippy in Canada and he hates Libertarians. Has a youtube channel, Vegematic. His rants are pretty funny. He's rather unhinged. He hates Trump and Hillary and wanted Bernie to win the election.

Nearly every libertarian thinker before the past decade or so was completely opposed to libertinism that could theoretically be allowed under anarcho-capitalism/minarchism.

Trump exposed most of them as shutins that think they’ll be leaders in the coming chaos.

This board was very libertarian even two years ago.

Don't blame me, I voted for McAfee in the LP primary.

There is a distinction between libertarianism and anarchism. That distinction was/is often blurred. Support vs opposition of national borders is an example.
Anarcho-capitalists have no problem with national borders. In fact, we want more of them than anyone else.

Honestly, we just have been outnumbered.
So many pro Trump people scream the loudest on here. Its hard to have a civil debate.
I've tried multiple times to get many of you see both sides of equation.
The irony to being too MAGA is that you inadvertently endanger the very rights you support.
Namely free speech, small government, and due process of law are in danger whenever a DEM gets back in.

It is crazy to think crack use should be legal.

Well, I'd say that depends. As you well know, there has been a pretty big amount of discord in our camp re: immigration and certain folks encouraging 'degenerate' norms. I just say those bleeding hearts are just lefties who recognize that capitalism works and would be better of being neoliberals (I'm looking at you, Iosh ;))

I'm not a true libertarian. They believe in open borders, abortion and a few other things that I don't stand for. I'm more of a Rand Paul conservatarian but I did vote for Trump. I've always tended to vote R and Hillary made me want to vomit.

From a historical perspective, it’s crazy that we criminalized a narcotic in the first place.

Well it's even crazier to think that you or I should punish someone for hurting themselves. It's also crazy to think that outlawing it will stop it.

Would you pay money, directly, for the enforcement and imprisonment related to crack usage?

It's crazy to think vehicles should be allowed to travel over 30mph. The fatalities would be numerous
