Now that we are seeing proof that the economic policies are working
We do not have proof that the policies are working. We have some early evidence that could be promising. We are in the early days of this. The battle was joined when Trump put huge tariffs across the board on China and they retaliated. Both are now adjusting the tariffs to exempt goods that are badly needed. China can only do this for so long before their manufacturing base leaves China for other countries, and that is irreversible. The question is whether Trump can keep America constant until China’s inevitable collapse.

You never know with Trump what his real purposes are, but two good things have happened because of Trump’s brash tactics: The long sought shouldering of the EU’s defense burden has been supercharged, and the decouple from China movement has hit warp speed. If Trump avoids a major recession these two already accomplished results more than justify the disturbance. We’ll know by Thanksgiving.

Correct.
First step is to deny things are going well. Second step is, when success becomes undeniable, give credit to Biden.

Well, Trump has already reversed the Biden effect of illegals getting all the new job growth. That has been explained on the board multiple times on the board today.

It will just be more lies and telling you not to believe your own eyes.

"The economy isn't as good as you think."

"Yes, people have more purchasing power, but here's why that's a bad thing."

Whatever the next talking point is from the dems, the "true conservatives" will parrot it and post stories from axios, politico, and NYT in support like always.

What part of the US economy is working?

Trump post
quote:

“Our Country will boom, but we have to get rid of the Biden ‘Overhang.’ This will take a while, has NOTHING TO DO WITH TARIFFS, only that he left us with bad numbers, but when the boom begins, it will be like no other. BE PATIENT!!!”

Trump is saying the shrinking economy is caused by bad Biden and not tariffs

GDP shrank in the 1st quarter by .3 and it had an estimate of a .4 growth.

In April there was a decrease in manufacturing jobs and merchandise retailers. Unemployment didn’t change it stayed at 4.2%. Jobs created was about the same as jobs lost.
